Okay, just to clarify the description isn't ironic, it's a statement of fact.

Firstly I know magic has been discussed before but I just can't find the full answer-if it's because it's a secret sorry for asking Daerk, don't smite me. The question for those in the know with MEMod: does anyone know or is a Dev able to tell me (pretty pwease with sugar on) are the current magic abilities available in Morrowind going to be completely removed and replaced with more Tolkienish magics, completely removed and not replaced or just left in the way they are?.. is there another possibility?

Secondly I've talked to a lot of people arguing about Magic in Tolkien: "it doesn't exist as we think of it" or even not at all. I was wondering what you guys think about this, because personally I think magic runs throughout all the books (especially lord of the rings) even in the sense of spells etc. Look at Gandalf the grey and the door being broken by the Balrog in Moria; look at Gandalf the White's meeting with Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli in Fangorn forest; look at Shelob and her "holding spell" over Frodo and Sam in Cirith Ungol. The word "spell" does come up from time to time.
I would definately agree that there's no room for magic f**king missiles or any of that crap but surely there has to be some form of magic present.
My way of thinking about the magic in middle earth specifically that of Gandalf and the Istari as far as LotR and the Hobbit is concerned is a kind of battle of wills. Kind of an internal power which can shine through and do battle with another or crush weaker wills. The power of the Istari seems kind of like that of Jedis in that terrible series of films that used to be one good film.

The search function is your friend. Those questions have already been answered.

read the "Daerk On..." threads that some of the other devs have compiled. They detail pretty much everything you'd ever want to know about the mod.

well to be honest I was asking in a round-about kind of way whether the battle of wills thing that happens many times during the books, between Gandalf the White and Denethor for example, would be portrayed in any way in the game.
Daerk
If you choose to face dangers, or flee from them... if you choose to brave the wilds, or stay within the confines of civilization... these choices (and many others) will alter a stat we've designed that is tied into your fear/willpower/leadership/charisma statistics, and will cause automatic bonus or malus to your actions ingame should you encounter an event testing these statistics.
