recently i have been trying to get robes of seraphim and some other mods but it takes 45 mins to download robes of seraphim and a couple of hours for the other mods, i get 7gb a month of download and normally at the beggining of the month it downloads fast but it seems to take just as long as at the end of the month any 1 know why or how i could make it faster?

mm, i noticed the exact same thing and haven't been downloading much of anything, could be the size of the download file you're trying to receive. Alternate Textures for BAB to UFF shop conversion isn't happening, after 30 mins and 1/4 of the way into the download the server kicks me off or stops responding. The site here has worked fine for me thus far, i plan to be patient for a while and not worry about it or try the texas server instead of chicago like i've been doing

I am also noticing that the website itself is taking 4 times longer to even display any pages! Don't know whats happening but I can get on other sites and every thing opens just fine. Any one else having this problem?

yea just now i am noticing the pages are loading slow, what site could i use instead for free?(not needing to register?)

Hmmm, that's interesting, I haven't noticed any slowdown in the page loading time.
Anyway, it could be a server maintenance side-effect; now does DarkOne have time to work on the site, it may be that the slowdown is because of this. But I'm sure he's aware of it and soon everything will be back to normal.
Also, for the downloads, trying a server that's not the first (or second) in the line is a good idea; people tend to choose the first when the choices appear, and if many people download from one server, it will be overloaded.

yea probally, yea i have noticed that download is alot quicker on the 3rd server than the first and second so i am using that, not that it makes it a whole lot quicker because seraphims robes on the top server takes a couple of hrs and on the 3rd it takes about 45 mins

Seems to me it depends a lot on the time of day... I just tried now and downloaded at about 100 kilobytes a second, and the site usually seems pretty quick, but once it gets to around 8-9 PM EST everything slows down to a snail's pace...

I usually use the London-Server, which is nearest to me, but though I'm from Germany, the Texas-Server appears to be much faster... I hope they'll all be at their old speed again soon...

Summer holidays? But that problem only appeared at July... so I guess not

Unfortunately, I cannot connect to any servers except Chicago. So, I have out of option...

Servers seem to be fine now for me. I'll monitor again at US peak time tonight.

logindownload its the same with me it seems at certain times it slows and and speeds up.

but i didnt manage to download some mods that before were gonna take a couple of hours but i manage to get it at the right time and it only took about 6 minutes so its all good.

most DL times for me are good,even with high traffic I still get a pretty reasonable time

Is it so that only the first London-server is reserved for Premium members? I think so, because I saw there were 9 users on that, opposed to the 100-200 users of the other servers.

Yes that's correct. A few months back I polled the premium members to ask where the best location for a single premium-only server would be. I don't have the funds to be able to afford one for both the US and EU. The demographics of premium members were pretty much split down the middle between EU and US so I picked the best server for cost-to-performance ratio which ended being in the EU.
