my downloading is going very slow it is only 4kb a second...i have a very good computer with a 100%signal to my internet box if anyone knows how to speed up the downloads it would hepl allot

Download 'spped' depends on your ISP, or if you have dialup or broadband .. You should find out what type of connection you have first, then go to sppedtest.net and test your speed.

Even dial up shouldn't be that slow. Do you have a cable connection or DSL?

How many other applications do you have open, and how many of them might be accessing the Internet, therefore reducing your bandwidth?

Could just be a bad connection. I would cancel the download and try again.

Actually, I think it's because there are around 100 users downloading from each server as we speak. I've downloaded files over 100MB in about 5 minutes before, but today it's taking me over an hour to get a 6mb file.

The most likely cause is server saturation, try a different server....the second texas server has been the fastest as of late.
