i like 'em all, but for a thief (which i usually play), I like Wood Elves. For fighters, Nords; and for mages, Bretons. I would like High Elves, except for their damn weakness to magicka!

I like the dark elves and nords.

I'm a nord through and through. B) Though...o.k I'm coming clean with you guys, I made a Wood Elf theif last night that i'm playing on the side.

I like the nord best, barbarians are always cool. I also like the redguard, they look best as guards.

Dark Elves are the coolest IMHO, I like my level 74 Dark Elf

Bretons however are definitely the way to go for mages.

I like Bretons the best 'cause the give a good balance of fighting and magic, though I stupidly created one almost entirely combat-based (a knight), so getting through the mages guild is quite a bear. But anyway, next time I make a new character, I'll probably stick with Bretons, but have it be a Spellsword, or a custom Mage-Fighter.

Dark Elf, and Imperial

Imperial cause i made a little mod that actualy makes their powers umm usefull
Star of the West (dispell 50% on target)
Voice of the Emporer (silence 15 seconds on target)

I love the wood elves. I mean, you can't blame the whole race for Fargoth. But mostly because I love archers is the reason I play as a Wood Elf... and I use Rhedd's faces, so my archer is a hunka hunka burnin' Wood Elf love. B)

Brenton is race i play mostly, what draws me to this race more so then the elven races are how clean cut they look within the gameplay. With morrowind its half staring at the graphics and half playing most the time.

Of course come to think of it, I like all the elves for the ladies...

I think I should start a program for others who have this illness like me. I shall call it EFA, Elf Fetish Anonymous(spelling?)

Me? Well i happen to be a redguard. Think about it, sudden bursts of speed and energy whenever you need them. Also, if you are ever overencumbered, you can increase your strength and get to a nearby shopkeeper to dump off some crap. B)

I like argonians, it sux that they cant use boots, and i think it is a blatant roleplay problem, you cant tell me the argonian race hasnt come up with their own armors? not necesarily covering their whole foot but at least the shins, i like the fact that they have water breathing, its helpful early on, plus their so damn cool lookin

Well I must be the only person but I always play as a High Elf. Yeah I know the weakness really suck but as a mage character the are awesome. 1.5x INT <choose the mage as a star sign 0.5x INT> and instantly you have 200+ magicka at level one. I just tend to run from about EVERY fight untill Im level 7 or so THEN the fun begins

I really like to play around with all the classes. I had a Redguard char, a Nord, and now I just started an Imperial (Titus). I'm playing the classic Imp. role as a Knight Errant Legion and a Defender in the Fighter's Guild. I haven't even reached lvl. 2 yet though.

I used to play as an orc all the time, a kinda Uber fighterish type custom class, untill i met Gaenor for the second time... (Dude outside the Mournhold Temple, asks for money)

Now im either a Breton or Dunmer Cuz bretons are good mages cuz they dont die when u fart on em, and Dark Elves are a great all round race, Especially for my usual all round custom classing

Dark Elf (i like the Drow from D&D) and my new favorite, the Argonians, they are just so strange and they walk bowlegged

dark elf first on the list, simply because they're dark elves, who wouldn't

next is breton hands down. best all around mages in the game and with 50% resist magicka paired with atronach it's like free mana with damage to your health. another fun reason to play em is when using boot of blinding speed it's just boots of speed. i mean there is no real difference (only slightly) from normal vision.

and yea, the faces look the best (next to dark elves for male anyway) over any other species IMHO

Being a wood elf myself I would have to say wood elf. They get a bonus to acrobatics. (that comes in handy) also if you custom class, and add acrobatic as a major skill, well lets just say easy leveling. :lol:

I play as a token black guy, the redgards are good at knife fighting, and i dont use spells that much, smacking people with oblects is more fun. But i feel argonians look the best, they dont get enough love though.

I started as Dark Elf and I still like them.

Argonians are handy but the race i like the most is Dark elf cause most of my caracters are combat based.

Well, I never used ancestrial guardian, but other races seem to have more useful abilities...

I started out as a Redgaurd, got to level 40 something, it was pretty fun. Took a break and now I'm playing an Imperial, because I'm a sexy man with Rhedd's heads. And I want to purge the Dunmer off of Morrowind or something. Are you with me Death Penalty? Huzzah! HUZZAHHH I TELL YOU!

I love Redgaurds (1st char a redgayrdf) make great fighters and no I don't use much magic either (bit of healing/telporty type stuff and the odd summon for souls to put in soul gems). Just me my heavy armour and a big sword. Simple, effective and alot of fun

Also like Bretons (well they make great mages - level 1 Breton with 210 Magicka just great) and Kahjit make great sneaky types (look good in Dark Brotherhood armour too)

However my fave race has to be the Argonions, they just look cool. Sorry thats all there is to it.

For the Argoinion fans out there there is a site devoted to argonions if I find it I will post it up

i like altmers and dunmers too
bosmers are beutiful, but they are traditionaly concerned to be thieves, just as khajiit (the lion-like headed ones are very cool )
and i admit, argonian race is very quaint and genuine, once i started playing an argonian just try how to be an argonian

The Reaper has a point Stampede. I can't say I'm too scared of the Nord Uprising. They still haven't figured out how to keep simple peasants from tricking them out of their belongings

Speaking of tricking Nords, you remember that Nord Holrath or something like that outside of Caldera who is missing his axe he said was stolen from him by a witch? Boy do I love that quest. We meet up with the witch, I side up with Holrath and attack her. Except I fade out of the battle right away and let Holrath duke it out with her, 1 on 1. After all he's got the problem with her, not me. He's giving her a good shellackin, so I decide to 'help him out'. Except I 'accidentally missed a few times and hit him with my sword. Ok, maybe a little more than a few times, in fact, by the time the fight was over and the witch was dead, Old Holrath was nearly dead himself. I picked up his axe from the witch, and he promptly asked me for it back. Greedy bastard. So I give him the axe, and in exchange he teaches me some new fighting skills, +2 to strength. Very cool I think. And who better to test out my new skills then on my teacher, Holrath.

So I put my newfound skills to work on my teacher/companion. Due to my mis-happed swings in our previous battle, Holrath couldn't take too much more, and sadly, I handed his dentures to him. I couldn't bear to leave his wondrous axe in the hands of some undeserving passerby, so I humbly took the axe for myself. Humbly is the key word here. Pass that stroy to your Nordic friends, Stampede

My favorite race is Redguard. THey are good for custom class thieves who lave longblade as a major skill. My character s a theif redguard with lvl.81 security.

Dark Elves, because theyt have the coolest face things (no mod faces) and the two beast races, because they are just plain cool.

I prefer high elves, simply for the fact that they have more magicka than any other race. I love being able to slam a few homemade fortify intelligence potions and have 2000 magicka to unleash a hailstorm of spells :lol: and who cares about weakness to magicka when you have a list full of resist/absorb/reflect spells and plenty of magicka to use em. Plus lets not forget that the empire learned everything they know from the Altmer!

The Best race for my ninja class is definitly a Kajiit, and a Redgaurd fighter.

Hmm... Hmmmmm... Have been looking at the races today, and Breton really looks nice, with the magicka bonus... I might have picked that if I didn't like the female dunmer faces so much.
