Well I have had a tesnexus account for about a year and a half or so but have only had a computer version of oblivion for a month and therfor i have only been using this account for about a month. I thought I'de drop in here and say ello chums. I am a 19 year old male living in a state on the west coast of america called Oregon and I live in a medium sized sub-urban city called McMinnville. My internet name is Blacksnake89 but my real name is Devan "Van" Gainer or as my step father calls me Van Gamer. My internet name is created from a mixture of personal information; my favorite color, favorite animal, birth year. I found out within the last year i was also born in the year of the snake on the chinese zodiak so theres another part to my name. I have created many fairly simple morrowind mods and I have some rudementary Modeling skills but nothing good enough for me to justify putting up my models. I'm starting to learn CS and I have found my knack in oblivion is creating character faces so I may make some saves or modders resources. I have also released 4 maps for the game Farcry That were rated quite high in a contest. (I think 1 of them made it into the top 10 the other 3 were top 30 or better) For a time I was going to college for game design and had ambitions to work for bethesda however due to financial reasons I had to drop out. It's probably all for the better though cuz I found out while going to school that I'm probably not as suited for a job modeling as I thought I would be although I have found I'm good with video editing and photography so I may look into that. I am also good at story telling/writing so I may write a few stories for possible questlines as a resource aswell. I have a friend who is a fantasic modder but refuses to upload ANY of his mods to various sites but I may convince him to release at least a few of his awsome quest lines here.

As for me personally I spend a lot of time on the internet and I'm a hardcore fan of video games of all genres but I have a soft spot for shooters. I currently play Oblivion, Call of duty 4, Warhammer 40,000 Dawn Of War, and World Of Warcraft in that order. I spend a lot of time on the WoW forums as well as these forums. At times i like to troll a bit but don't worry I'm not going to here and even when I do I'm not obnoxious and I don't try to start flame wars, incite anarchy etc. I have a good sence of humor and I try to excersize it when I can. I'm currently not in a relationship, employed as an apprentice painter, and suffering from a very nasty leg injury. Well the leg injury is "Healed" but I still have aches, pains, and cramps. Almost every forum I've mentioned my leg to I've been asked what happened so I'll just tell you ahead of time. I was working at a lumber mill and had a very large machine fall on my foot. I don't remember exactally how bad it was but I shattered most of the bones in the lower section of my right leg.

I'm a helpful guy and I'm very mature. I spend a lot of time on various forums and so far nexusforums are by far my favorite. Jackassery seems to my null here, Mods are very active and actually do their job, and everyone here seems to be at least mature enough to follow common courtesy. some people call me a "competetive" gamer cuz I play in tournaments but I like to think of myself as a recreational gamer that doesn't like losing . All my tournies are local ones just for fun but none the less i decided to make a site for my clan and out touney bracets and to just show my videos, screens, and achievements It can be found at http://www.myspace.com/wayofthesnakegaming athough it's not functional yet and might not be for a good month or so as I have no way to record vids yet and the tournies don't start till winter. last bit of information about me english was not my first language but I learned it at an early age My native language is from a mixture of 3 different tribes native to where I was born. In short I'm Western Indian or Native American and I was born in the Arizona badlands. Despite my name my "power animal" is the wolf.

I have visited Oregon a couple of times as a tourist - Grants Pass, Brookings, Eugene, Salem, Cottage Grove and Portland are the places where I stayed. Lots of scenery but also much of it seemed quite isolated to me (from London England, where if you feel isolated the reason is very different).

Anyway, enjoy the forums. And no - don't feel tempted to troll. Humour is fine but you can't hear the tone of the written word (something that even I have forgotten at times!)

for the friendly welcoming everyone. So you've been to Portland Mal? Thats where I was going to school at. I was going to the Art Institute in Portland. Nice school I had a lot of support from the instructors there but, uhg that place was expensive. I've lived in poverty for a great deal of my life wich explains why I'm kind of illiterate and 2 terms at that school put me in a financial situation. Oh I've spent a great deal of my life around Australians and Canadians so at times I like to speak with accents. Who doesn't like talking aboot stuff with a Canadian accent eh? I need to polish that one a bit but my Australian accents not bad although sounds more like british. My best voice I do is my retarded one. My mother had me use it when talking to one of her co-workers one day and we had her thinking I actually was mentally challenged, Moomy I lost my helmut agin, that ones really hard to get across through typing lol. Don't worry Mal I have NO intention of trolling here EVER. If you think Oregon seems isolated try living on the top of a platau in the middle of the Mojave desert, personally I like the isolation here. I wouldn't really call it isolated though, when looking at my surrounding here I think more along the lines of serene. I kinda miss my native lands though, the desert has it's oun serenity in it's solidude.
