I like the peaceful life.

The morning begins with me slipping on a dress and picking some fresh strawberries from my flower-filled garden, then returning into my cottage to enjoy a fresh, fruity breakfast. I open my dog's cage, and give her some venison, then I take her for a nice long walk around the forest, collecting blackberries along the way. After a walk, I'll return back to my home, put my dog back into her cage, and eat some bread for lunch. I'll spend a little time with my horse, take her for a ride and a drink down by the water, before returning back to my home again, and making my blackberries and strawberries into juice. I add them to the collection in the lidless barrel, then sit down for a meal of potatoes and vegetables, changing back into my sleeping clothes, saying goodnight to my dog (Cheydinhal Petshop Dog

) and going to sleep for the next day to come.
Boring, I know, yes. I'm sure you do a lot more interesting things - kill demons, save the world...
So let me know what you do!

(Oh, I take Oblivion VERY seriously, just incase you didn't notice. I'm a girl and love to roleplay on games like this.

On my first play through of oblivion i just fast travelled, ran, killed, waited, killed some more, dealt with the little annoyance that is referred to as "Oblivion" and then hacked some bandits.
Now im playing again and use the main quest delayer and arrive in anvil. Playing through as a hunter character who makes a living of hunting and alchemy. Without the vast amount of mods out there this would be more than boring

so yeh my days mainly consist of getting up, stalking deer/boar (only level 5 at the moment), cooking and keeping some of the meat for myself then selling the rest or making potions, i also gather plants as i hunt, its quite enjoyable i admit.

I think that if my char would be real...he would flip from happiness when I play with him

.
His name is Wulfhart, Barbarian (custom race), Barbarian Class (made by me;)).
Usually he is just waiting for a game with him to load

. I play very rarely. Everyday I download and try mods 3 times a day. When I have free time I usually experience with new meshes

.
But when I am playing I like to explore. Especially the forests and the some of the dungeons.
Sometimes I like to wander through the cities, shop a little (dungeons bring me a lot of money

) if I have money left I go to the bank (Arcane bank to be more specific), deposit the money then sleep at an inn. If I am in the IC I like going first to the Merchants Inn (there is something there that keeps attracting me

),ask people about the latest rumors, hang out a little time then sleep at the Tiber Septim Hotel.
But...that's about 30% of my gameplay...rest 70% is Hack'n Slash

Cheers

Alas, my day is always busy. Any free time I have, I spend it with my companion, Viconia. I always check to make sure she has something to eat, that her armor & weapons are repaired & recharged. We spend whatever time we can engaged in small talk, to relieve the stress of the day's activities.
But I've so much to do:
Count Kvatch - must take care of my people.
Duke of Colovia/Imperial Legion Captain - patrolling the cities and a honest tax collector.
Fighters Guild Master - Take care of special contracts that periodically come up, & meet with Oreyn.
Arch-Mage - I get a respite here, the University mostly runs itself.
My darker side - keep my pirates plundering so they don't work any mischief in the Thieves Den.
DB - I'd like to replace Arquen, not very good at recruiting.

Jun 29 2008, 05:55 PM
After Carah get's up from a slumber she takes a visit to all her fallen comrades, which she has made shrines for, and are located throughtout the castle. She than has her breakfast ( which consists of fruit and a sweet roll), and coffee. Outside she feeds Nimrodel ( that is her blueeyed white horse), than runs down to her nearby lake where she has her swim ( she likes doing laps to get her athletics up).
After that who knows where the day will take her. Somedays all she will do is shut Oblivion gates, or trudge through caves, and Elven Runes. She will every couple of days take a trip to the Imperial City and go shopping, but she is always disappointed. She still can not find that Prada bag she's been always wanting.
Hey that's what I'll do make a Prada bag mod., with a enchantment of enhanced personality, and merchantile.

To Maafiaman:
The Elder CouncilThere are two huge files. Install directory is \Oblivion (not \Oblivion\Data). Install the Core first.
It adds a new kingdom called Arenthia also.
This is a full-blown quest-mod, and all of his mods (when installed) are called the "Cyrodiil Upgrade". Got 'em all running, and it's great having the teleport pad from Frostcrag Spire to Kvatch working again (plus having a Bruma Mages Guild restored). Load 'em all in, it's a ton of great role-play.
Maafiaman - another plus, all of his mods are included in Random's FCOM Helper load-ordering utility.
Edit - be somewhere way out in the wilderness. Don't have your last save with your character in IC. Note: You get that spiffy armor when you reach Captain, too.

It's a WIP because it's such a huge undertaking. But 100% runnable. No conflicts with vanilla quests that use the Imperial Palace. This mod is so huge that when it's completed by the author, you'll be able to become Emperor of Tamriel.

You're welcome. Have you thought about going with a Premium Membership? Download speed is a tremendous improvement. I just now did a dl for Sulteric's Viconia companion mod, and I got 350-400 Kbps.
If you're on dial-up, I used this until I made the move to Cable Broadband:

Depends on what the day is like. Everyday (or alomst everyday) oocurances are:
-Bet on Arena matches (blue team always wins

)
-Get something to eat
-8 is usual bedtime and I wake up at about 7 the next day
-I run to every location I go to
These vary:
-Fight in arena
-Practice for arena
-Do quests/parts of quests
-Pay fines for breaking the law
I'm going to start from the 1st save again for a number of reasons, but it will mostly be the same. I still have the original saves for reference.

So a Premium Membership won't help with nothing :S.
Anyway...I am still downloading mods

Emili, my main character right now, usually gets up around 8, has some breakfast, and heads to the mage's guild in the next city. Even though she's really an archer--and somewhat compulsive about it, too, shooting signs and hanging lamps just for fun--she decided she wanted to get into the mage's guild. I think its because they have such nice beds. And there's no creepy guys at the mage's guild watching her sleep.
She doesn't talk to any more people than she has to. Seems like they've all got problems, and too lazy to solve them themselves. Its depressing and annoying, and it messes up her daily schedule.
Her race has hunter's sight, so she runs everywhere she goes until she finds potential prey. Then she sneaks up and pegs 'em.
Right now, that Martin fellow thinks she's collecting artifacts for him. Yeah, right! Why would she want to stop the invasion when there's so much cool stuff in those towers? All you have to do is keep running, and you can close a gate and get a reccommendation all in the same day.
So when she's done with her meaningless mage's guild task for the day ("I can't write you a recommendation out of hand. You have to solve my personal problems first!"), and pawned all those useless potions, she stuffs herself on venison and pears and then beds down for at least 8 hours.
Long term plans? Who knows? Dropping bandits and marauders is fun, but she wouldn't enjoy it if they didn't deserve it. She doesn't like those creepy dungeons the fighter's guild is always crawling through. She's thinking of this guy she met on the waterfront. He said he might have some special jobs for her if she can prove she's good at "collecting" stuff. And if she can stick it to the people who tossed her into prison on a whim, so much the better!
Hank, on the other hand, is having an extended psychotic episode. Every day he wakes up at the same ungodly hour behind the Flowing Bowl, surrounded by magic portals. Every day is the same day--every morning he starts the same day over again. But every day doesn't proceed the same from there. He goes into a magic portal, and explores a different world. But its subtly different from when he explored it before. He's learned there are no rewards and no consequences--he can do whatever he likes, but he won't benefit from it at all. All that he learns will be forgotten, all that he earns or steals will be lost, all that he destroys will be renewed.
Hank lives in his own private Hell, and will never escape until the new world is finished.

Aeil wakes up and dons his ceremonial white robe. Then he gets a status report from his fellow Pale Knight Cog Rein. Once he's been briefed on the castles affairs he eats his breakfast wich is whatever the stuard has prepared. Once he has eaten he suits up into his armor and heads to the catles lower section. Once there he spars with Maeva and Elenya the newest members of the Knights Templar. Once he has trained the recruits he, Cog, and Tamara head towards Anvil to pick up a few supplies. Once they are prepared they head to the surrounding ruins to clear out the menaces of the marauders, bandits, and local unliving forces. After a long day of fighting for the people protection Aeil travels to Fallenleaf Everglade to meditate and. Once he has cleared his mind at the water he heads back to his castle to drop off his collected equipment, sleep and start his rutine over again the next day and should he find any infernal gates to oblivion in his travels he makes sure to shut them down. Every so often he visits his younger sister in the Chorrol mages guild and speak with his friend Modren Oryen at the fighters guild.

My character usually spends early mornings working for the Mages Guild. (He's just finished all the reccommendations, so he'll need to take a trip to the Imperial City) At around 8 he throws up a Sun Shield and does what shopping and other activities he needs, then goes to sleep. In the evening he and his companion finish off any tasks that require him to go outside. He makes use of the Mages Guild Guides' teleportation services a lot (Having turned most of the ones who would be asleep into vampires so the late-night calls don't trouble them, though it makes them hard to track down sometimes), but if necessary, he and his companion start whatever traveling is needed at around 10 or 11 PM. The remainder of the night is usually spent raising funds for their long-time aspiration, establishing a safe vampire lair in a city.

My character is a Battlemage style character right now, i felt like making a jake of all trades type this time around, for the past year ive specialized in one area or another in several characters so this one is a bit of a change for me.
A typical day starts out with my female character heading over to an area im working on in a mod and testing it out.
Repeat 30 or 40 times.
Thats it, thats what my character does most of the time.
When i actually get time to play, i try and hang out in kvatch and enjoy the city since it has more detail than any other city in the game and is fun to live in. Either that or im on some crusade to explore various ruins and caves for specific items needed for something uber im making for my character.
Being a mod maker makes my games a little different from other peoples

But i dont cheat, if i need 5 silver, i go and find 5 silver the hard way.

Catti has to run back to the sewers everyday to place her makeup on and then run back to the filmscene where they are waiting for her, so they can start the filming. Everyday, "Catti, hun can you swing your sword more dramatically?", she swears if she hears that one more time she'll poke the director in the gullet with her dagger and make him squeal! "Cut, Cut, Cut! D#$@, you're suppose to blast her with a mind blast, not a fireball!"
After a rigorous daily schedule of filming she'll take walks in the mushroom forests or take midnight swims in the nearby lake and stay at nearby Inn buried in the ground nearby. Each day is like this, for Cattie, until they finished this project here.
You got it, she's a model, uh, mod model ... in progress

Let's see, I'll just pick my Cute Elf Kiara.
She starts the day by killing people. Honestly, she's probably the most bloodthirsty character I've ever made and/or seen in a game. After she's done with her morning slaughter, she'll probably go shopping for clothes. I download way too many clothing mods, but they're all so pretty!
Then I'll pick a town or landmark for a photoshoot and take lots of pictures. Then I'll exit and fix them up in GIMP, then post them here, and then I'll go back and play her some more.
She likes exploring Ayleid ruins, but not caves. She also enjoys creeping through pirate ships for no reason, and dropping poisoned apples in noble's houses.

First, I wake up to ask my maid (battlehorn castle mod, awesome!) to get me some strawberries, vension, and mead, Then, I gather a soldier, and check on the castle. I get the latest news, fight a little, then take a horse ride. I take a swim, and go to my wizard tower (mod) and chill out. (Ha, chill, lol). Then, I sell stuff, go grocery shopping for the men, and set up a camp. On rare occasions, i use player. placeatme cheat, and march north with the legion(s). Boring, fun? YOU decide. That's my life.

Chill out.

My current character, a Dark Elf with blue hair, dosent really follow any quests in particular.
She dosent really care about others, so she does whatever she pleases.
Decorating the Sky Castle is always high on her to-do list.
Most of the time its finding rare crap, enchanting it, and selling it.
I'm thinking of joining the fighters guild, but i've done that on a previous character.
Hmm... Maybe its time to get another castle, you can never own just one!

Why do all my topics become mod posts?

Because mods are what adds so much to Oblivion. You take the vanilla, open it up with the DLCs, expand it with SI, then you start thinking about adding mods to give you even more game-time (Lost Spires alone adds 15 hours).
Mods also increase the open-ended aspect of Oblivion. For my own version of Oblivion, my Battlemage decided he would continue Martin's dream of improving the quality of life in Tamriel. So he continues to look for new quests to fulfill. You do that by adding in new quest-mods.
My Battlemage enjoys a Fame of 186, and he hopes to break 200.
Once you activate your first quest-mod and finish it, you'll find out. Mods are like the Lay's Potato Chip slogan - nobody can install just one.

My character puts on her favorite outfit depending on what she has planned for the day.
She makes a bunch of custom spells and potions, rides her horse, and either goes to the market or to visit the nobility in which case she uses her Speechcraft arsenal of clothing. Or wears pretty much "hunting gear" which consists of an arsenal of custom chameleon/sneak outfits, or custom strength hunting clothes.
Almost every day she kicks a lot of bad-guy ass, but she most prefers using her custom-made soul-catching bow to trap evil souls.
She makes a very good living as an "arms dealer".
In her free time, she likes swimming and exploring.

Wake up, go to the most populated area of the IC, most likely Talos Plaza, save the game, get my scythe and black robes out, run around hacking a ppl and use midas's magic to defend myself from the guards. - in Tamriel....
Shivering Isles - Summon the big creature thingy from midas's magic (forgot wats it called, its like a big demon thats uncontrollable), summon my dragons and other creatures to fight the giant demon, sit back, relax and watch the show.
You should try it too, it really is entertaining.
