I would like to gat EVE Online, but I do not know if there is an option for a year long membership, life-time, or only 3 and 6 Month time frames.
Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,

You can pay by credit card, direct debit or by purchasing Game Time Codes online or in selected stores. If you pay via CC or DD then you can pay for up to a year in advance. GTC's come as 60-day variants.

I recommend getting the year long subscription if you like the 2 week trial. I got it for 6 months, but having played for 3 months I will next go for one (or 2 if available) year subscription.

About limited internet- I was out of town and have been playing for the last few days using a modem. For the first couple of days I did not even think it would be possible to play via modem. I logged on to switch skill training, and lo! Things were smooth as ever. Quite amazing. I recommend getting the 2 week trial and see how it goes.

There was a time, a while back, when my ISP was blocking EVE during peak hours, supposedly to save on bandwidth, and I was forced to play using an http proxy (http-tunnel I believe it was). The free version was capped at 1.5kb/s, but I was still quite able to play. It was hardly fast, and the amount of lag I got when I joined a fleet of about 20 people made it almost unplayable in pvp, but for switching skills, playing the market, etc, it was quite sufficient.
