En route to Raven Rock when, as always, the battle music cues in and I turn around to identify the danger. In this case, a wolf charges at me (and at close proximity I might add!) almost out of the blue.
At the time I only had my Staff of Magnus out (yup, collector of Tameriel Legendary Items...gotta chatch 'em all
And then, suprisingly, the wolf stops after a brief yelp, and then sits and starts acting like a wolf does while at peace in the game. This made me blink, especially as I was STILL standing RIGHT NEXT TO the wolf WITHOUT it ATTACKING me!
Not particularly spectacular, but this was hardly anything that happened to me before! I looked at the staff (which I hadn't used on wolves before I'll add) and couldn't help but make the comparison of a rolled-up newspaper against a dog. For a while I pondered (and still am)...did I actualy tame a wolf?!
Then, barely five seconds after walking away from the calmed wolf...I was attacked. Ironically it wasn't the wolf...it was a bear proceeding to maul me to death.
Forgeting the death-by-bear...anyone here consider that there might be merit to this thought, an effect of the Staff of Magnus on calming canines, or, more likely I'll admit...my computer hiccuping (before belching out a bear that ate me)?
