So I found the airship, and was about to search the captain's body when I was attacked by a snow wolf, which fell over the guy's dead body. For some reason now I can't read the book next to the captain, nor can I search the snow wolf because an area at least 10 foot around is labeled with the captain's name, so I can't activate anything but him. I tried clearing the corpse to get rid of it but it wouldn't let me move it! Is there anything important in that book I need to read for the quest, or can I leave it alone?

...If the Breton in front of the Guild of Mages in Ald-Ruhn briefed you on the situation already, you can just continue on to the tomb without touching the wreck. Nothing essential to the quest could be in the book, but it could be a good read, so try opening the console and clicking on the Snow Wolf corpse, then giving the "disable" command. If you can't select it, click on the Captain's corpse, write down his object ID (The text that appears in the title of the console window when you click on the cadaver -- leave out the eight numbers at the end), enter the disable command, and then disable the Snow Wolf. When the area is cleared of corpses and you want the Captain back, open the console and enter this command:

"YYY00000000"->Enable

...Where "YYY" should be replaced with the ID you've copied down.

If you leave the area and then rest for like 4 days or so. Then come back and have it reload the area by going back the body should be gone. Works for me but I have GOTY on Xbox so it might not work on the pc maby if you got the most up to date patch it might work. Hope this helps if you have the Xbox version this might be the only way.
