i mean u hear about the men of cairn and tom bombadil and goldberry,Beorn was said to be one of the great bearsthat came first in the misty mountians or even the necromancer can u find his tower?
Kahenraz
Ahh! Very good question. I guess you'll just have to look for yourself. If they are in the mod, don't expect any of them to be easy to find or on any map. smile.gif

laugh.gif man-oman, just thinkin about how bad the necromancer would kick your arse!!
But what if you were high lvl (already beat the game and have been a vagabond in ME for a year or two) and stalked up on battle supplies and had the best equipment this side of Rivendell and you quick saved befor entering the necromancers chamber and after about 50 tries you sent him crying back to Mordor.
Would a mesage show up on your screen saying "All that once was now isn't. For you have upset the natral ebbs and flows of time, and you unredeemably spiral into the depths of darkness. The champion of evil is gone and one brave and powerful warrior now must take up his mace. You are now the Lord of Darkness, and the fate of Arda is yours..."?

PEACE cool.gif
Muennin
Kahenraz: This information is truly heartening... biggrin.gif

Cailwyn: Your post is simply hilarious!!! "You are now the Lord of Darkness" would have me pulling my hair out.
seregmegil
I think if you do that, the popup will show the message "You are death, you altered the timeline of the mod" tongue.gif
Myris
If the devs are making ME as realistic as possible. Tom and such should be in it.

I really hope I can find them, now even more because they are hard to find. I like searching for them. cool.gif
Fezzness
I always wanted to switch sides, so to speak, on a game. That would indeed be 'silly' but if you think about it, it would be pretty intriguing.
Mayken
wasnt the necromancer Sauron??????
pharzon
Indeed he was. Why?

Oh no... I think I hear Daerk. Quick, someone hide Cailwyn!

Ahh, good times... Seriously, though. One word :

Commoner.
blackmage256
if you were to set explosives in his chamber maybe...
valdir
I seriously don't know how to respond to all this... Kill the Necromancer? Odds are, you wouldn't make it there intact, sane or willing. If you do ever find it, they'd have to insta-kill your character!

i think it would be hilarous if it said " damn it... that wasn't supposed to happen* and the game ended... haha who knows..

`hewy
Roecc
It would be even funnier if you occasionally got "Out of Handles" messeges. tongue.gif

Damnations!

Must I repeat the "C" word?

tongue.gif
ObsidianKnight
That would be hilarious, upsetting Middle-Earth's timeline.
"No!!! You fool! What are you doing to me!?!?"

I would LOVE to see Beorn in the final release.

Oooh! Ooh! And what about the Goblin caverns? Or Moria!

... *shudders with delight*....

Stone Giants playing toss in a thunderstorm? WOW! Now that would be sheer magnificence...

Maybe the view distance will not let you see them at all tongue.gif.

I would love to see helm at the siege of helms deep.

Or the times of the numenorans in middle earth, but this is out the posible timeline I think.

Well, you're wrong!

Think a bit about Aragorn and all the Dúnedain... And about the people from Gondor...

Where did they come from? Hmmm....

Maybe they're not Númenóreans as such, but at least they're descendants of the people of Númenor smile.gif There are númenóreans in Middle-Earth all along TA (or at least in the largest part of it).

LOVE to see Daerk's interpretation of a Hobbit blush.gif

Guys, you do know you can find about all information and what things will look like if you try... For instance if you wanted to know what hobbits looked like pick up a copy of the book and try to find all things about them and peice that together... then check a few sites with educated guesses from Tolkien freaks(like us) to see if they have the same idea of what they look like. If so it means you are probally close to the canocal idea of them... If not reread and see where the differences in ideas were. Look at a regional map of Middle Earth and see what factors could affect what these hobbits look like... if someones in a desert they usually have darker skin then someone in a artic region. After that go check some more reference sites like the EoArda and finally make your conclusion of what the hobbit will look like... most likly MEMod would have done all this for each race if not even more so your idea of a hobbit now MIGHT be along the same lines as MEMods...

Hoom, well now, that should help. Root and twig, I think many folk's thirst for knowlledge will be quenched once they spend some time on those links.

you know I've got this silly idea now that the Stone giants should'nt be included in the mod, but instead a Monty Python style giant foot will just come down from the heavens with a farting "spplutch" sound instead.

*giggles*

mmm. If only.

but seriously. how many times do we say it...?
if it's in the books. it's in the mod.

Numenor. (or more accurately, their descendants) check.

Hobbits. check.

The goblin caves ( And mount Gram as well), Check.

Moria. Check. Oh, you have no idea.... really. your wildest dreams will not prepare you for waht we're planning for Moria.

The Necromancer/Sauron. Check. don;t expect to have a chat with him though.

Dol Guldur, the tower in Mirkwood. Check, if it's been (re)built in the timeline of the mod...

Beorn. Unlikely - he was just a mortal man. but his ancestors/descendants are a check. unless the mod is while he's alive... which is check as well.

Tom Bombadil/Iarwain Ben-Adar/Orald/Forn, Goldberry. Check.

Men of Cairn? I assume you mean the men of Carn Dum. In which case, if the timeline were before the fall of Angmar, while the men of Carn Dum existed, that'd be a "Check" too.

Now. will anyone begin to get the hint that if Tolkien wrote it into Middle Earth in the third age, it's going to be there?

Suzerain.
Muennin
Thank you, Suzerain, for a most informative update! Everything you mentioned above really whets the appetite... smile.gif
Nozaroc
Has Moria fallen to goblins and orcs in the 3rd age? Sorry, I'm still reading LotR, haven't gotten to any other books, yet.
I hope I'll be able to explore Moria without running into hundreds of enemies :)
jeehde2
Ooohhh, Suzerain, how could you do this to us... Telling that Moria is going to be so GREAT!!! Now we even more want the Mod!! tongue.gif

But really, now we know for sure that we will find some things in the game, thanks.

Someone was talking about his high-level character..
Now I am wondering, are you able to put your character in the Memod, without his armour of course? I didnt find it in the FAQ, maybe I didnt look well enough...

Suze:you got me really really excited with that sentence
i must think that it will be more than just great:D
jeehde2
I think it will take a very long time before everyone realises that everything will be in the mod. biggrin.gif Thats just to much, if I would make a list with things I want to see and things or persons Im going to visit, then I could write a whole new book! wacko.gif

If this is true (and I really, really believe you) then this world is going to become much and much better than Vvardenfell.

I've already answered this quite a few times, but you may have to look for "export" or "import" or similar to find it.

No, you cannot export or import a Morrowind character into MEMod. Period.
