The release of Spore's 'Creature Creator' is due for tomorrow, June 17. I want to know who's going to DL this from the Spore website? I know I am for sure.

On a side note, can someone who's actvated a EA account for spore let me know where the activation e-mail is coming from (the address). The e-mail service I used tends to block everything unless you tell it not to.

Well for me it came from EA@email.ea.com

Doesn't look like that worked. Put in a support ticket, hopefully I'll get a good response. I can still upload content, just can't log in over there. Uploaded some of my creations incase anyone feels like searching.

Well I got to say..I am impressed.


I have lost many hours already creating creatures with the editor. I have lost count of how many species I have created but it is a lot.



I cant wait for the full release of Spore, but this will make the wait a little less excruciating.

The only complaint I have with the trial is the mouth selection. At the current rate almost every creature available eats meat, and has a strong bite. They really should have stuck with how everything else is setup, and made only the more primitave mouths available. Atleast then there would be a fair number of plant eaters that can act as prey. Quite literally, this decision could really just end up biting people in the ass.

I think its amazing how forgiving the engine is for non-natural body types.

Yea but I noticed if you make it so your legs walk through ur arms, the model screws up a bit...makes the movement interesting sometimes..

I just got the Spore creature creater, and i have to say, if your bored you wont be for long. Its very fun. Although they could have realsed a little more of a selection, im still pretty happy with it, i cant wait to go out and get the game, i might even pre-order it.

You know... Rather than post screenshots of your creatures, you can post your actual creatures. They're entirely encoded into those .png files.

For instance. People downloading the image may however need to change the filenames when saving.

ahh, i love it. but i do wish they would have given more of a selection. hopefully the game will be extremely moddable, though i highly doubt it will be unless they release their conformulator type tool...

i have already made hundreds of creatures already, and i cannot wait for the game. fall sucks. why does it have to be so far away?!?!?!?!

its not that far really, execpt when school starts i wont be doing HM ill be playing fricken spore, lol.

Personally I think humans only got so smart is because we ate meat, and meat gave us better brains. As far as I can tell, on average, predators are smarter than prey, so we can assume that the supreme species will always be a carnivore (or at least an omnivore) due to intelligence.
