Hey, I just switched ISPs a while ago, (from Comcast to Roadrunner) and as a result, my Email adress changed. So, when I finally got around to changing my Email on this site, I never recieved the confirmation request! I waited a few days, and told the website resed the confirmation. It's been another few days, and I still haven't recieved any Email requesting me to re-activate my account. Now I can't download files! (Files greater than 2 mb, ofc.) I've checked my adress on here and it matches what my adress is, so why am I not getting the Email?

Thanks for your help!

I will help you out. Let's communicate via PM.

I have validated your account and re-sent another email verification.

If you do not receive this email, I suggest you double-check the spelling of your email address in your profile.

Greetings.
I tried to register with four different e-mail addresses of different providers. Only hotmail.com succeeded.
If it's a common problem with free services like mail.ru, tut.by, rambler.ru, then I suppose it should be reflected somehow in registration form. It took me 5 days to get registered after all. Please, appreciate other's time - it really worths an effort.

P.S. BTW, is there any way to report such problems when you are not completely registered? I've got a read-only status with my non-activated login.

When you register the confirmation page does say that the email needs to be validated. It states that if you do not receive a confirmation you should first check your junk folder and if it isn't there then your provider is blocking emails from the server and there's very little I can do.

I'm looking into a system to help fix this but it'll take time.

Thanks for promptness. Junk folders were empty. I'm just wondering why the problem exists with three providers out of four.
Cool site, nevertheless smile.gif

That's a very good question.

TESNexus seems to fire off emails without any problem (I'm talking about outbound here...reported problems are almost always inbound issues). I'm fairly sure Dark0ne is not filtering outbound mail to block certain mail servers.

When you register, an email will be sent. If you typed your email address properly, it will reach your mail server.

If your mail server is blocking TESNexus for some reason (it really cannot justify this site as a SPAM source because each and every email sent is by request) then you will need to contact your ISP (or mail provider) to get them to unblock it or find out why email is not reaching your account. The other issues is as Dark0ne already pointed out...check your SPAM folder. Sometimes mail servers have their own SPAM filtering service that is automatic and you have to actively visit their site to see what they have blocked from being delivered to you. The second possible SPAM filter is on your email client such as Outlook but they are highly visible in the "junk mail" folder if mail is being placed there.

I know for a fact that TESNexus will send email to GMail (world-wide and web-based), Hotmail (world-wide and web-based), VVM (a local ISP) and Sprint (US phone/ISP carrier).

Hi

I just thought I would add my experience to this thread.

I tried registering twice, once with a yahoo address and once with an ISP address and did not recieve a confirmation. There was nothing in the spam filters. I read this thread and tried my hotmail address without trouble. I have never had trouble registering at any other sites with either of those 2 addresses before.

Please understand that this site sends the email off to the Internet EVERY time. If mail verification does not make it to you, it is not the fault of this site.

This is a HUGE site used by many people and even though no email is sent from this site that you did not ask for, all it takes is one person to click the "This is SPAM" to a mail server or ISP and they block the site wholesale.

This problem is most likely due to members reporting TESNexus as SPAM more than anything else (such as technical problems).

If this is the case, you have to fight with the mail server to let the mail through or use a different mail provider.

EDIT: PM received from mboy99 stating that everything is OK now.
