anyone ever think of making some warhammer armor?
the series or whatever has been around for about or over 20 years, and if anyone knows cool armors they do.
since my forum skills suck... alot. so i wont be posting pictures, but if your curious there are some great looking armors to google ^^
there are relatively two different versions of warhammer. one is a oblivion style era , and the other is futuristic(kinda)
im relatively new to the series so please try not to flame me, i am posting this with good intentions ^^;.
but really, chaos and space marines armors look pretty badass. there are probably numerous other races not covered in the games whos armors look equally as impressive, please feel free to discuss this and post pics ect. i may even try my hand at making some.
maybe even check out the new warhammer online site and check out the new game. they have all the races on display.

of particular coolness are the empire and chaos forces.
hopefully this will spark some fresh ideas in the forums.^^;

Erm, while the armor is neat, it has nothing to do with Warhammer Fantasy Battles.

Now, on to serious business. When I saw this thread a few days ago, I sat down, and started to desing the bloody thing. I made a map, designed the races to some extent, added around a dozen guilds and developed the start of the story.

However, due to the nature of Warhammer compared to Tamriel, I ran into several issues.

First, it would require so much scripting, it would fill the National Library.
Second, I have just spent 6 or 7 hours roaming the files, and I have found very, very little that can be used.

Tons of stuff is available, sure. 70% of it is half-baked or worse, and I would never use it. Kudos to people for trying, but I like quality. Sue me. 20% is top notch quality that hasn`t anything to do with anything except rubbing their boyish (and girlish, hat`s off to Slof! smile.gif) fantasies. Of the remaining 10 percent that is top quality stuff, usable in a (good!) Warhammer mod is mostly for Humans and some for Chaos and Vampires. All other WH races don`t get anything. At all. And I did plan to implement them all, playable or not. (they haven`t shown all of them on WH Online wink.gif)

So here is the deal. Over the next few day I may or I may not try to get the necessary programs and see if I can do anyhthing. I am talking about weapons and armur. I also have some modeler friends on other forums that could maybe help out a bit.

For the scrypting part I will need help. Most definately. I am not even sure if some of my ideas are implementable.

You posted the idea, and I commend you for it Jetrel. But look at it this way. Oblivion is not a new game. The Warhammer system is 25 years old. If some Oblivion modder liked it, wouldn`t there be atleast 1, just one 1 item/mod related by now?

As it stands, I can design the mod. Meaning, I can talk the talk.. We shall see how it goes.. All help is welcomed!

^^ i could ask for nothing more. i might give modding a try in the future. there are some pretty nice looking dawn of war 50k weapons i would like to start with. various melee weapons mostly. for example in the latest expansion soulstorm the dark eldar leader uses this massive claw deal... that might be fun to make as a first project^^

While it certainly looks cool and it is for melee, I belive it is a power weapon.. So it doesn`t fit in the Fantasy Seting.

Here is the link to the Warhammer and Warhammer 40k website, have fun!
