There have been a few similar threads in the past, but all have been geared toward specific things. As far as I can tell, there hasn't been any large "who would win" thread. So here it is.

The rules are simple;

1.) Pick any two people, or groups of people. Real, living, unliving, fictional. Just as long as it is something people would know.

2.) If there is already two people posted, say who would win, and why you think so.

3.) Only post a new matchup if the previous one has been answered by atleast 3 other people.

4.) No obvious ones (eg Chuck Norris Vs anyone). No religious references (fake religion, cult, or otherwise) (eg John Lennon Vs Jesus).

5.) No posting of forum members names. Even banned people.

6.) No spam posting just to get through some matchup. Actually think about why someone would win. Despite how illogical the matchup.

7.) Have fun, and keep it civil.

And just so that I don't end up leaving people with a bad machup, the first person to post gets to choose.

The Nerevarine (Morrowind Player character) vs The Champion of Cyrodiil (Oblivion player character).

...any British, or other nation's, rugby team against any US/Canadian football team, even if the latter had ALL their armor on.

Nerevarine would win. Levitate, and rain death upon the world. He can also use spears and throwing weapons, something the Champion never was able to grasp. Besides, the Nerevarine fought the gods and won, the champion was just a helper.

Yup yup, even if the Champion was given access to Morrowind weapons and spells. The Nerevarine ended up with much better equipment too. Plus, the Nerevarine fought an apparition of the daedric prince Hircine and won, while the Champion of Cyrodiil only (Shivering Isles spoiler)replaced the daedric prince Sheogorath. But he didn't become immortal. Also the Nerevarine is immune to all diseases and will never age.

Don't even need leaving Oblivion. what about a custom mage x Custom fighter level 20+ using only vanilla gear
Someway I think that with some mods the fighter is doomed from beginning.
My personal opinion in this is. If they are close enough the fighter wins easily... if not, a talented mage (and player, of course) will pulloff the guts from him.

American politics or Canadian military?

Equipment in Morrowind is 'FAR' more powerful... let alone levitate. Enchanting every little piece of armor (don't even need being only one enchantment) and wielding instant casting the most powerful imaginable destruction spells from rings and the kind... you get the setup.

I just started Morrowind so I dont know alot...but isn't the Nevevarine given the "big thumbs up" from the divine? So has like goddess on his side so to speak? Or am I wrong?

Just for the hell of it... Your average pro rugby team, Vs your average pro US football team...

US football playes hands down. I mean, you may be able to make jokes about Americans playing in armor, but have you even seen some of the hits that players have been taking? A 300+ guy who is mostly muscle, charging at you, armor or no, is going to flatten you. End of story. Rugby players aren't taking sterioids. US football players are*. Team Vs Team, this may be even more visible since only the kicker, and maybe a few are of a similar build to any Rugby player. Forgive me if I'm wrong, too lazy to look there may even be a number advantage.

Rugby players have to run for almost all of the 40 minute per half, with maybe a time out for someone being carted off to the BloodBin. They dont get long breaks during which the networks run thier commercials, or huddle around pretending not to feel each other up like the Am footballers. They have started to wear minimal armor, but still depend on shere strength, skill and brute force to squash their opponents. Each rugby player has to be thinking, and not just about his next video performance, unlike the Am players. Rugby players are very very dangerous. They dont talk about fight club. They just do it. And no, Vagrant, for the Am players there would be no Santa Claus.
