I just thought it would be interesting to see how people actually heard of MEMod because we seem to have quite a lot of people watching and waiting.

I believe I found a link to it in the plugins page at the official MW site.....
You might wanna ask the mods to move this to General MEMod discussion before they get on your back...

I was starting to think in doing a Mod, and I thought, I want a Middle Earth Mod.
And first I said me, "search, It's imposible that there isn't nothing out" and I founded the AME website and later, Memod Page.
I forgot about doing the mod

I had been on this forums for about 6 months, then i just started to read a few posts about what it plans to do, and i obviously got very excited. Now, i'm just watching and waiting, like everyone else.

Well I was a regular guest on morrowind.nl forums and during a discussion over middle earth and the movies someone told me that there was a mod being developed for morrowind that would recreate middle earth. I visited the site and registered on the forum but the forums where moving at the moment so after someone told me that I registered here also and kept following this mod without posting anything. The last few months I've been posting more often.

i know it was misplaced, but this was not my fault since i could see no option to create a poll in the general discussion section of the forum. So please forgive me...

Having never been a fan of the Morrowind universe, yet a big fan of the game engine, I thought I might find a mod over the net that would combine the best fantasy game setting with the best game engine.

I just read something about MEMod, an interview with DarkOne and Daerk I think it was, on RPGPlanet. I readily followed the link and... voilá, I was on the old MWC forums!

I actually learned about it in that PCGamer article. I read it and thought I'd take a look, and have been anxiously awaiting it ever since.

A video teaser showing off some catapults attacking Seyda Neen got me into it. Although that was released by the german AME-mod team, I did a search for "middle earth mod", and this showed up!
It hit me in the head,

I was actually looking for something else when I stumbled across MEmod. I was looking for other total conversion styles, and generally making something larger than Morrowind. After awhile of playing the game, it just feels small. So I went looking for stuff like the Tamriel Rebuilt project that's going on, and other things. And lo and behold, I found MEmod, which bosted 38000 cells i think it was? Well, this is the sort of thing that makes me drool, so needless to say I was a happy camper.
P.S. I'll prolly be hanging around for the long haul. When it comes to things I like, my patience is infinte.

Mod site, this one specifically.
Similarly to Caldamus, and unlike
this guy, my patience is long lived. For this mod, I expect it to run out in sometime in 2006.
EDIT: Fixed typo, changed 2005 into 2006.

I remember finding this site from a mod website. The only way I remember where I found this site is what "Favorite" I have before this one.

I was looking for Morrowind Mods. And accidentaly I found MEMod, since I'm a fan of the books ande the lord of the rings movie. I continued to watch this mod.

I learned about it through the Elder Scrolls forums. That's when I read some posts made by this "Daerk" guy about some sort of TC for Morrowind.

As I read more and looked around, I found MEMod.co.uk, MEMod's website. Through the website I found this nice little forum.

I found it when I was browsing
http://www.tolkienonline.com. The news post from which I read about it contained the original GameStar Article.
Here is the link to the article, I still have it bookmarked.

I was looking on the forums of MwSource.com and i saw this special section for some kind of Lord of the Rings mod.
Then I found out that it was the most promising mod i ever saw in a game so far.
