well i larp and i use allot fo the mods on here like for weapons costumes etc....... and some of the quest i've even incorporated into a larp once well anyway post back if you're one of those larpers, and if you do not know what larp means it sand s for: live action role playing l.a.r.ping ^^

LARPERS KILLED MY FAVORITE COFFEEHOUSE!!!

There was a coffeehouse in St. Louis, MO, called The Haven, that opened themselves up to a slew of neighborhood complaints when they started allowing the local Vampire: The Masquerade LARPers to run much of their games, there. The commercial strip that Haven occupied bordered a residential neighborhood, and the vampire-wannabes had an unexplainable tendency to get into screaming arguments (in character) in the back parking-lot, between 9:00pm and Haven's closing-time of 2:00am.
After multiple complaints, and the police being called several times, Haven was denied renewal of their business license, and forced to close.

As such, I fekkin' HATE LARPers.

The "lightning bolt!" people are the AMTGARD crew, and they don't work well in urban areas... they need a lot of open space.
I just remember there was one seriously screechy-voiced female who looked like Siouxsie Sue after way too many lasagna dinners (pale makeup, black clothes, silver jewelry, cottage-cheese thighs), who would shriek at the other players in a voice that would incite the neighborhood dogs into barking. Since I wasn't involved in their game, I don't recall any of her conversation topics, but I remember someone mentioning that she played a Tremere (I've seen the p-n-p rulebook for Vampire, so I know the basic gist of the game-setting).

Knuckleheads ruined a really good place to hang out, drink coffee, read, and play pinball.

Sounds like they take things way too serious. Pretending to be vampires is just silly. The only larping i do is renectments of vikings. No "magic missile" crap. I dont always do real battles, where one army is supposed to lose because history said so. Sometimes it's whoever wins. The equipment is close to authentic, where styrofoam is not used. However, my shield is not historically accurate, because it is heavy and the handle is the kind like you see in Oblivion, rather than the handle being in the middle and behind an iron boss. I made it out of tabletop pieces that you can purchase at a hardware store.
