Just wondering, is there a mod or some other method of completely resetting the quests etc of a save game or copying a character in every way except items on to a fresh 'world'?

Would really like to replay the main storyline and some other bits without having to create + relevel a new char smile.gif

Nope, quests cannot be reset. The closest you'll get is making a new character, and cheating yourself the same items and stats.

I made a mod where you get a grey cowl of "nobody" meaning you switch your bounty, fame, and infamy. But I don't know of any mods that lets you reset the quest and other stuff...
Eventually I will try to make copies of the grey cowl and add functions like, preset stats for "pretending" to be a knight, or a mage.

vagrants idea was fine. make a new char with whatever stats. use bash to import your old face. write down the stats of your old character and cheat them onto the fresh character. i haveto do this every time i use the facemenu cheat, its not so bad,.

Well, if it's within the same game, you can actually just use "createfullactorcopy" on yourself to create a clone. Then "duplicateNPCstats" on the clone after you've redone your face. Your stats and skills will still be off as your race changed, but they would be off if you were just cheating each one individually anyway. After you've copied over stats, just use console to kill, removealliems (not loot), then disable. While you can loot your duplicate, picking up quest items, or special items (like those added by many mods) can cause issues. If you really want to cheat, I would limit things to just the gold. Using console to remove all items before disabling is there so that the body will be more likely to be cleared from memory next time that cell resets, and so it doesn't take up a large chunk of information in the meantime.

great idea.

Jetrel: If you have the console up while you're on the racemenu, you can save your game even though its paused. Save it once you're finished with the changes. Then just load the game again and you will carry on playing happy as a face lifted Larry.

Sorry I can't add anything useful to the topic.

That's because you're doing it wrong. You aren't supposed to save the game with the racemenu still up, you're supposed to load the game which was saved before you used the "showracemenu" cheat while the racemenu is still up, and after you've made the changes.

As for the save numbering, you can fix that by renaming your saves.

How rare, the site I read it off said nothing like that, was told to save it whilst the screen was still up, exit and reload. Worked fine other then the strange numbering, fairly sure it was the official site as well. :s
