dream world. that is all i know.
does anybody know what quest/expansion/mod it is in/related to?
i go in, and i choose a door. do i need to go in a certain order? is it for SI or KotN, or the original TES IV?
i cereally need halp, but i dont know what with, so whut am i dealing with?

Dreamworld is used in a miscellaneous quest out of Bravil in the original Oblivion game. It does not matter which order you do the four doors in. Just get the four coloured 'balls' and speak to Henantier and the quest will end.

When you go to the Bravil mages guild to get a recommendation letter, the Dunmer lady asks you to help her boyfriend who trapped himself in his own dream. She puts you to sleep and you find yourself in his dream, that's the dream world. It's actually a nice little challenge (lots of puzzles).

Yes, he was an argonian, and not her boyfriend, just an old friend from when they were learning, and she didnt put you to sleep, you go to sleep wearing the dreamworld amulet, which puts you into hernantiers dreamworld

i went into the door of perception, i went through the traps no problem, i got to the floating orb of perception, i now have it. nothing happened.
is it something to do with custom races or body replacers or etc, like that quest in SI?
because now i am stuck in the perception place...
the whole friend in dream was correct, but i don't remember talking to the argonian lady.
what is the name of the journal for that quest?

If you didnt talk to the argonian lady you havea major bug in oblivion thats put you in there.

the quest is called Through a Nightmare, Darkly. riggered by talking and helping Kud-Ei, head of Bravil Mages Guild. Its a misc quest, not the MG recruitment one. She can generally be found on a bench by the door

Well, it depends. If you are in the dreamworld because you did folllow the quest and now you are here, and activating the orb of perception did advance you in the quest then just do all the oher rooms. If you did the quest but the orb didnt do anything, then try using the console command to set your stage in the quest so that you can talk to hernantier and leave. force quest stage or something, im not sure. If your in there because of a bug, just coc yourself out

if I coc out, will i get all my stuff back?

No, nor your magic. And you wont eb able to wear anything ever again, if your wearing the d world amulet.

stupid dreamworld took me bout 30 mins to get past cause i didnt save it ftw WHEN U FINISH THIS DREAMWORLD IT WERNT RALLY NESSACARY AS THE REWARD IS ONLY A SCROLL OR TWO

She asks for help, or something. Its been a while since I did that quest, normally i stay clear of it, its unneccessary annoyance, so i can't be definite here.
When you offer to help, she should lead you away, but it doesnt always appear first tiem you chat to her, and it may be at certain times only, i'm not sure

ok. i now have the quest. but it keeps getting stuck just as i am loading into the dreamworld. do the see you sleep mods interfere with it?

I wouldnt have thought so, as it doesnt actually let you sleep, it cuts it out and teleports you before it begins. is it on the loading screen when it gets stuck? If it is, then you have a problem with the disc/installation. get latest patch or reinstall is the best cure. If its before it starts loading, its a sleep mod interfering

thx. to reinstall, do i save my savegames folder, uninstall, reinstall, then take out files in new save games folder and replace with old ones?

I think that your savegames aren't deleted through normal uninstall, and I know that mods arent, but it will be worthwhile backing your saves up, yes.
