Hi i had oblivion installed about 6 months ago for 3-4 months, and then decided to uninstall it as i wasnt playing it and needed the harddrive space, now when i put in my disk and try to play it , it says "oblvion launcher cannot find the oblivion executable please reinstall."
so i click the reinstall button and i get this


and after i click ok

When i uninstalled i did it through add/remove programs.
and it left a very small file in my "my games" folder in my documents, (one which will not delete) im really at a loss here, as far as i know the oblivion dvd should uninstall all these "small files" and reinstall the game, but it wont. any suggestions/ideas anyone?

(My first ever post i found out that oblivion had a large mod comunity and want to start moding, but to do that i kinda need the game installed)

I haven't played Oblivion for quite a while, but I must say that I freaked out the first time I tried to reinstall the game and it didn't work. Called up a friend and wala! it installed perfectly. I'm glad that it worked smoothly for you, and know exactly it's like when you go to reinstall and it doesn't work. That guide link that I posted works like a dream .
