The NPC Ra'Kothre has a Glass War Axe.

There is a Glass War Axe in the Redoran Vaults in Vivec.

There is an Ebony War Axe in Alfhedil's chest in Hlormaren.

There is an Ebony War Axe in the possession of the Hlaalu Weaponsmith in the Hlaalu canton of Vivec.

There is a Daedric Battle Axe in the cave Ibar-Dad.

The NPC Gordol, under Ashalmawia (by Ald Velothi) has a Daedric War Axe.

There is a Dwemer Pnuema-Trap Axe in the locked closet of the weaponsmith in Balmora.

The body of Mendel Eves, in Tureynulal, Bladder of Clovis, has the Cleaver of St.Felms.

Which axe? You could just add it through the console if you can't be asked to get it.

player->additem "id of axe" 1

Valenvaryon or Mzuleft are two places where Orcs will attack you and have orcish axes. There are many others. Go and get one!

dremora lords usually pack a heavy deadric weapon, I got a war axe, battle axe, mace, tanto, mace, short sword from them so far. They are randomly found around the deadric runes i guess since they randomly appear happy.gif
One even has this crecent blade thing in Tel Fyr so keep searching those runes and youll get a funky axe sooner or later happy.gif

Hey! In Seyda Neen, in a hollow treestump behind the lighthouse (have to see it from above), there is a two-handed magical steel axe of DOOM. I suggest that, if you're a new player, you take it, since it's balanced well and not that hard to get, either.

Mind you, if you're level 15+, I suggest you get into swords / blunt weapons tongue.gif

Ahem... I think we're all forgetting something...

If you enter the Vassir-Didanat cave directly South of Balmora and disclose its location to a Hlaalu councilor in his haunted abode, accessible from the plaza level of one of the residential cantons, you will recieve a Daedric weapon of your choice -- if you're sure that you want to keep with axe for a pretty long time, you can recieve a Daedric Battle Axe here.

If you want to just add something in via the console...

Player->AddItem "Orcish Battle Axe" 1

...For the industry standard...

Player->AddItem "Daedric Battle Axe" 1

...For the Daedric cleaver, and...

Player->AddItem "Axe_Queen_of_Bats_Unique" 1

...For something a bit different.

well do you have blood moon? if you do go to thrisk, find a nordic silver battle axe, their a bit pricy, but their awsome wepons, great against werewolves and when its enchanted its a even more powerful, and if you cant afford such an expensive wepon, just swim to the bottom of that big frozen lake next to thrisk, and some where down there lies a nordic silver war axe in the skull of a dead adventuer, that war axe is also a very formitable wepon, good luck in your travels.
