Here's the problem.
I have these numbers that more or less correspond with my current FPS.
Now, before you start chiming in with the obvious, it's not FRAPS. As this highly informative and amusing picture will show, FRAPS is not the problem here.

As you can see, I've got some freakin' moon numbers floating at the upper right-hand corner.
Unlike the numbers that FRAPS puts up, these do not go away.

Ever.

So, has anyone else experienced this problem?

Startlingly enough, these numbers persist even after un-installing, and then re-installing Oblivion. Even before I put in any mods, before I even put in the official expansions, they remain at the top, mocking me with their annoying brightness.

As a little bonus, the numbers also appear in the same spot of the render window in the Construction Set.
No aspect of Oblivion seems to be safe...

Are you running any other utilities for your graphics card? On one of my older computers I installed ATI Tray Tools for taking screen shots, and it has an optional OSD for the FPS in the top right corner that looks very much like yours. When it is turned on it will display on all 3D rendered windows.

I do have ATI Tray Tools active/installed...
That might be the problem!
