Okay, my companions that I download are showing up looking like pink with black faces, I download the files extract them to Oblivion/data and I activate the .esp. I have tried this with 2 companions and the problem keeps arising. I don't know what else to do anyone have any suggestions?

Which companions did you download? They most likely require specific race textures that you don't have installed (hence the pink, which represents missing textures).
