OrigamiDuck
Hey guys...

So I've recently installed some mods... But now that I've gotten them all in a row (with load order and everything), when I start Oblivion a game window opens, takes up the whole screen for less than a second, and then closes itself. I do not receive a "program not responding" or an error message of any kind, I'm just back at my desktop... Anyone know how to help? Thanks!

Details:

-I'm using Vista Home Premium
-Yes, I am running both OBMM and Oblivion as an Administrator.
-Here is a link to a copy of my load order from Oblivion Mod Manager

Thanks in advance!

...holy ....
ahem maybe its because you have way too many mods activated ?
this is just conjecture on my part since i amnot an oblivion expert but my guess is one or some of them are conflicting with each other
disable all mods and then turn them on one by one and boot the game
if the game crashes you got the little twerp thats causing problems
because at least one of them has to be conflicting
OrigamiDuck
Although that is true I have quite a few, I've seen more used at the same time than this... Aren't conflicting mods resolved by the last one in the load order overwriting the first?

I'll try that though. ^^

Thanks

no, it's not the amount of mods.

OOO and MMM are not compatible and WILL cause CTD's .. UNLESS .. you have FCOM and even then that mod from my last reading on it still has some issues that they are working out.
I'm not familiar with FCOM name files, but I have been reading about it frequently. Try deactivating OOO or MMM and go from there. Also check your confliction list from the OBMM. Otherwise, download FCOM if they have a working model, you can help them find bugs if this might be what you want to do.

Even after disabling both MMM and OOO it still has the same problem. =(

then like i said kill everything and go from there

Several of the mods on your list require OBSE. What you describe sounds just like what I had when I tried to run Oblivion with a mod that required OBSE and did not have it installed. It needs to be started before you start Oblivion every time. Make sure you are using a launcher that launches OBSE, then Oblivion.
OrigamiDuck
Unfortunately... I re-installed OBSE and used the OBSE Launcher... But it still does the same thing... =(

Thanks for trying though!

zomgd00d i have the same problem as you.
I think I'll try what bluekatt suggested.

EDIT: nvm i found the problem.
I think it is your MMM mods that are causing the problem
i have 1 mod related to MMM and that was what was causing my oblivion to exit without warning.
I disabled it and tried again and found success.
Try disabling all your MMM mods and see what happens

OrigamiDuck
O.O That actually worked! Thank You!!!

But does this mean MMM is defective? =(
Iapetus
MMM is said to have a lot of problems, and will often conflict with other mods.
Try starting up the game with only your MMM mods active.
If it works then, I guess you could activate one mod at a time and probably find out if it's a combination of MMM and something else.

It's worth a shot...
