Hi, I'm really new here, just signed up, barely know anything about the PC version of Oblivion. So, how do put use to mods? I downloaded one, but I don't know how to use it.

unpack the mod using winrar or winzip winrar seems to be the standard these days
open te following folders C:\>program files > bethesda softworks> oblivion > data
keep the data folder open
go to the just unpacked mod and copy all the folders and files in there ( some mods coem packed in a folder titled data only copy the contents then not the data folder of the mod )
dont worry when windows reports that there are folders with the same name the contents of the orginal folders will be copied to the new ones with the mod content added
start oblivion click on data file and click on the mod you just installed to enable it
start the game and it 'should ' work if it doesnt you either did something wrong the mod is busted or you have to update your oblivion with the patch
