There are three explanations for Daerk's origin:
1. He is in fact a reincarnation of Saruman, whose soul (despite common belief) had not "with a sigh dissolved into nothing." His soul eventually found its way to the Valar. They saw that there was a change in his heart, so they reincarnated him in a less powerful form to aid the people of the fifth age in restoring the memory of Arda, and of the peoples that have long passed into legend.
2. He is one of the nameless Maiar of the servants of Manwë. Though he did not create or shape Arda, he did significantly influence the decisions of the Valar, as he was very wise. He is now re-creating this world not in mocking of the works of the Valar, as the Dark Lord would, but as a tribute to their masterpiece.
3. He is an elf of the first awakening. He is not mentioned by name in the works of Tolkien, as he was simply a silent observer. He stayed in Middle-Earth even after the passing of the Eldar into the west. He traveled the lands of Middle-Earth until he settled in a most fair and beautiful forest in the mountains and remained there until all the world has changed. He then ventured out into the world once more to fulfill his final quest.

He's... just a person.
Named [CENSORED by Daerk]. Sometimes I think you guys take all this abit too far..
And, if he was ANYTHING it'd be a Balrog of Morgoth. Why? Daerk's a goth. And as well all know, the Balrogs were the rebels of Arda, who followed Morgoth into the world of darkness.
Yeah, thats it.

Literature? Books will simply burn in their hands, impossible reading don't you think? I heard Daerk mentioning he didn't read that much lotr so that would fill in the whole picture, I could be wrong (big chance I am).

Well, you might be right but this doesnt say anything. This is so becouse Morquendi cover ALL the elves who's forfathers or themselves never made the trip to Valinor, so this includes almost all elves in middle earth (and orcses) save for the few Calaquendi that have returned (like Glorfindel).
