I got a quest from a man outside the mages guild in ald'rhun and he talked about this airship that had been flown to the northwest to the island. I am supposed to find a ring in the tomb of a dead man that is said to be able to control people. What do i do now?

Think: what island is to the northwest? and go there to search. you should find a ship in the middle of it. and that ship should have an item that triggers a journal entry telling you to ask the man that gave you the quest something. (Please note the vagueity to avoid spoilers.)

This quest has to do with bloodmoon and a wolf lair with a password. I cannot find it. I was told that it was on the island of bloodmoon (i cannot remember its actual name).

well, did you check your journal? and with the guy?

He said that it looks like a wolf from the sky. Still don't know what else i am supposed to do. I am also supposed to find the ship as well as the ring i thank and his crew.

The rocky formation does indeed look like a wolf from the sky. It is called Hrothmund's Bane, and it is in the Northwest corner of the island, south of Castle Karstaag. The password is the wolf that killed Hrothmund, Ondjage. Take the Amulet of Infectious Charm and deliver it to your questgiver to complete the quest. Talk to him later to learn that he is a lot more popular with the ladies, but is sick a lot (keep in mind the amulet's enchantment).
