Full Version: i need help!
i really need help with mods, some mods that i download wont work when i check them off in the data file and then click play and for osme reason the mods wont work can any 1 plz help me!
This must be one of the crappiest Descriptions ever. "It wont work" isnt all that helpful. I dont even know what isnt working...
So, what Mods do you have, which of them wont work, what Patch do you have, what Version of Oblivion and can you describe eventual Errors that occur?
All we know is that you have some mods and some of them wont work. Or all of them? Dunno.
But nobody will be able to help you if you cant provide a little bit of information.

When asking for help, be very specific in such a way that somebody could "actually" reply with an answer rather than getting people to reply and ask questions. This is a forum, not an IRC chat program. 
for example, look at just the topic descriptions and see if you can tell what is contained in the thread. If you cannot, it is not a good name for the thread. Keep that in mind when creating threads and you will more likely receive the help you are looking for.
Another problem you are likely having is that you did not post in the correct location.
I will move this topic to the "Mod Troubleshooting" section but you really need to specify which mods you are having problems with.
My general advice:
1. Read and understand the Oblivion Mods FAQ
2. Read the readme files that come with the mod...specifically the requirements and how to install sections.

From another Thread you made, i gathered you have "Bravil Sea Domes", "Kvatch Aftermath" and "Rens Beautiful Hair" aswell as "Demonic Race". And they wont work at all.
Well, regarding Rens Hair and the Demonic Race: Cosmetic Mods often conflict with each other, making them inoperable alltogether. You may have to choose between Rens Hair and the demonic Race. Another Thing: Rens Hair wont just pop up on the NPCs ingame, you can make a new Character with the new Hairs. The new Hairstyles appear in the Creation of a new Character. Nowhere else.
If you dont want to make Screenshots of your Character and play in first Person perspective, this Mod is pretty much useless for you.
Regarding the Demonic Race: There is a little Problem with the Quest of Boethia. It will be buggy when the Playerchar isnt a member of any normal tamrielic Race. The Demonic Race will be selectable at the Charcreation. Nobody else will be a member of this Race, unless you download yet another mod.
The Bravil sea domes is one of this mods where you dont see anything, unless you do something. You have to go to Bravil and buy the "House" at the "Fair deal" Shop. After that, you'll get a Quest marker to a place east of Bravil underwater.
There are several Versions of Kvatch Aftermath. I had one where a Letter was spawned in your Inventory, you have to read it to start the Questline.
There are Versions that require Patch 1.2 and/or Shivering Isles.
Newer Versions require Shivering Isles and with a Oblivion Version without any Patches, they will crash the Game.

some need patches some need Scrip editor some need OBMM and other stuff to work even the order of placed files sometimes needed to be right
One thread is enough, I have closed all the others, do not start a new thread for the same problem.

Need help with my mods. The mods I have trouble with are Quarn's Quest Award Leveller and New Frostmourne by jojjo. I'm playing an unpatched version of Oblivion, straight out of the box and I'm using OMOD for the Frostmourne mod but manually installed the Leveller and checked it under Data Files. I don't see what the problem is as I'm absolutely positive I installed them correctly and my other OMOD activated mods work fine. Really need help.
Well if you are unpatched, the I can pretty much guarantee that New Frostmourne will not work.
As it was created with the latest version of the CS, and the mod will not function in an unpatched game, the same probably holds true for Quest Award Leveller as well.
Patch the game and it should work.
