Smashy
Ok, through out all of my travels in Vvardenfell and beyond, ive come across some fairly disturbing and down right frightening situations, ive been chased by everything from a hoard of tiny nix-hounds(GIANTS mod) to an unuseualy large orc weilding a fork(abandoned well in dagonfell mod), heres the top 10 most starteling occurences ive come across...

1.I was walking down a dark hall way of a ruin and a crazed Orc attacked me with a fork, thought the bastard was trying to eat me, but he didnt last long.

2.Spoke with a pushy bosmer in Mourhold who demanded my gold.... later to my suprise he returns in full ebony... wepon and all (i know that isnt to odd the second time you see it, but you dont exspect it the first time it happens).

3.While in Soltheim(sp?), being chased down by naked nords who proceed to beat you with their fists or lash out with their wepons, but this ranks equaly from trying to run form a werewolf for the firts time.... fast.... you cant escape.

4.first encounter with a cliff racer.... at level 1.... with nothing but the clothes on my back, and an iorn dagger, amazieingly i lived....

5.first encounter with a dreamer.... bastards stop you and acost you on the street.

6.first attempt made on my life made by the dark broherhood.... shows you should read before playing a gsme, so you know what to exspect the next time your character wakes up

7.first time entering a dwemer ruin, wouldnt exspect steam powerd robots to exist in vvardenfell, but i later accepted them as an interesting aspect to the game.

8. seeing a skeliton use a halberd and a sheild at the same time (he still heal the halbred in 2 hands... but still had a sheld equiped, and was able to use both efectively)

9.takeing an item from a deadric shrine for the first time and being killed by a dremra lord.

10. seeing a bosmer fall from the sky just north of seyda neen for the first time, and finding those handy incarnation of flight scrolls on him.

Well that has been my 10 most starteling moments in vvardenfell, if it wouldnt be to much of a trouble i would be interested in what bizare events you have stumbled across in your adventures.

Yep, there are scary moments, especially when you are a novice to MW....

I played daggerfall for a long time and the improved graphics are still amazing to me. Each and every time im in a battle I feel a bit scared ( except if its a cliff racer, rat, etc. ).

Most scary thing was the first time I saw a clanfear crawling towards me from the darkness ahead... I ran away, saved and came back after preparing mentally.
Also scary were the sounds of centuion spiders coming nearer for the first time.

when outside gnisis on the way to khuul, my level 1 guy (just created him) found some chick who wanted me to get her ring that fell into a pond nearby. soon as i grab the ring, Azura's voice whispers "no good deed goes unpunished outlander", and the chick attacks me with an accomplise. that tripped me the hell out because it was the first quest my guy had done, and because i had never done it before. it was a strangely eery experience....

Probably when I was levitating and fighting 4 Cliff Racers near Tel Vos. That's surprisingly hard. XD

Following some regrettably bad advice and using the Shrine to Stop the Moon to complete the Sanctus Shrine pilgrimage without looking back once.

...And then looking at the horrific sight that can only be described as a game-chrashing, GPU-overheating, pants-wetting storm... a storm, sir, of Cliff Racers.

The horror...

The horror...

i can get really tense and jumpy whilst fighting in a game, in morrowind i get really tense, especially in dark areas, i was walking along, assuming i was here before, since there were a few corpses a minute in, i continued along, i get hit, and since i had a strange chair that causes me to fall off alot at the time, i fell off, got back up, and after a long, 10 minute fight, i died, followed by a loud "F***" dry.gif

Grim and frostbitten edit by the evil necrowizard (not really...)

Smashy, i think you might have taken Gaenors beg for money out of constest...he would kill you anyway, but he didnt demand money, you know, like Mr T, "i pity a fool, who wont give me money!"

The scariest thing that happened to me was when i was levetating, saved, and quit. When i reloaded i looked around and notice i was floating in the air. Thinking that levitate was still working i moved forward and fell to my death.

Another time also when levetating i i was attacked by many cliffracers. I turned around to see about 10-20 cliffracers. I started attacking then racers when my levetate wore off and fell. I was high up and knew that i would die if i hit the ground. As i saw the ground i was relieved that i was able to cast levitae again since i had not saved for over an hour.

The first time the Dark Brotherhood came after my life was pretty scary, then it just got to be more of a treat, cause after they're dead, they have some fairly good priced items on them.

Also, as a level 1 character I was roaming the wilderness and was attacked by three cliffracers at once. Luckily I had bought that Iron Claymore at Arille's. smile.gif

well ok when the dark brotherhood attacked my level 1-5 char. i cant remember i died and reloaded 11 times and realised i couldn't win, so i ran ran ran. i was in ebonhart at the time, lucky me and i went straight to mournhold now while at level 1-5 try going into the sewers armed with chitin clothes and chitin sword... pretty stoopid as they say

The most wierd thing for was in the "Latest and Greatest Housing Mod" that I downloaded. I bought a house only to find two migets running inside trying to kill. huh.gif Remind me to kill the creator of that mod.

Well I made the mistake of talking to a High Ordinator in the Museum Of Artefacts in Tribunal, whilst wearing normal Ordinator armour...forgot they didn't like that. So three High Ordinators set upon me, I somehow managed to take all three out using all my restore health and magicka potions in the process. So I take as much of the armour as I can carry to sell at a cut-price in Craftsmen's Hall (Bols Indalen is my Smith of choice). I go back to get some more, but as I step inside, the 4 other High Ordinators attack me! I was out of luck that time, except in that I had just saved, so I still had my small fortune from the armour. I have made the decision not to return with any more artefacts. They can make do with Warlock's Ring, BiPolar Blade and Mace of Slurring. Although one day I intend to return, kill the rest of those guards, the curator, and take my treasured possessions back. cool.gif

I'll see them when I hit Level 30. holloween.gif

one of the coolest ways ive died was trying to cast a frenzy spell on one of almalexias hands. i figured that they would attack me one at a time, just like every other character or gaurd. WRONG! as soon as the spell connected, all six hands and the goddess bomb-rushed my ass and started swinging so fast i had lost half my life and all of my summoned creatures (dremora, bonelord, clanfear, all three atronachs, winged twilight, and golden saint) before i realized i was doomed. and as for scary possiblity, the scariest thing i can think of in vardenfell, would be if my lvl 83 character went beserk...i killed almelexia with one hit from my daedric long bow (with difficulty at +100) via the ebony arrows of slaying, and i beat vivec to death with my bare hands and a few spells, so my character is by far the scariest thing in tamriel!
The Samurai Orc- Ken Ralliman
the giant swingy axe thungy in sotha sil scared me big time
my player was like unbeatable, i hadn't died in soooooo long. i walked through the first floor and my orc fell to the ground dead and i had to reload. luckily i had just saved it before Almelexia. rip_1.gif

I guess I might as well post mine.

1) Seeing a cliffracer. "Ooh. Hmm... *TINK TINK KSSSHEW* ow... f***."
2) Jumping around as a moogle in the mages' guild. "Wha..? Blue? Hmm... Oh s***."
3) Trying to do anything remotely heroic as a moogle. "Ooh. A metal thing... oh s***."
DragonReborn
the scariest thing that happened to me was when i went into the entryway room of morvyn manor in Ald Ruhn and hearing all of those freaky noises, then i opened the door (at this point i was level 3?) and saw two corprus monsters coming towards me. That was fraky, but the noise was what really freaked me out.

1. When I met Gaenor.

"Hello, can I borrow some gold?" I hand over 5. "More please?" 100 (I start to get a very bad feeling....) "Wow! I've never had so much gold in my life! More?" 1000 (sigh....) "OMG!! Can i have some more gold?" 10000 was more than half my wallet, so no way "ILL KILL YOU!!!!!"

2 game weeks later, I see a short figure in full ebony armor. I talk to him.
"HELLO!!! I'm back for REVENGE!!!" Sure, sure.... say that to my sword....
To my horror, I can't hit him!!!! "NNOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" *bangs head on desk*

2. Stuck in the grazelands.

I'm wandering in the grazelands, and trying to reach Tel Aruhn (it was the one quest with the bandit and the maiden near Pelagiad.) I get killed again and again by Ashlanders. I reload, and eventually make it past them. Then, i get attacked by a blighted alit. I catch a blight, and i use a potion. Oh man... that was my last one.... Then, I catch another blight from some animal. I can just barely move. Then I get attacked again, and get another disease. "NOOOO!!! I'm stuck!!!!"
An interesting idea crosses my mind. Maybe diseases wear off after time? Nope. I catch another blight in the process. At this point, I sort through my inventory and manage to find a scroll of divine intervention. I teleport and pray. And land in Sadrith Mora, even further away from Tel Aruhn. Much head-banging ensued.

This is my first time into the game, and I'm only a level two.. but this is scary enough for me .. huh.gif

I'm in the main quest task, where I have to retrieve the skull from Whatever-family-it-is Tomb, and I've never encountered a ghost before. I'm just walking forward .. okay, I'm nervous as hell, because I have a vague idea as to what is coming.. and the creepy as hell ghost materializes in my face. I freak out and pracitcally fall out of my chair.

It took me two real life days to finish that quest, taking it in small bites. dry.gif
