Full Version: How are the teamsters enjoying the beta?
The sarcasm trickling from your question is obvious, however unnecessary. Don't think that we've given a *finished* Beta 1 to the teamsters and the whole team is giggling about the comments of those persons on the public board who haven't seen anything of the beta yet. The version available to teamsters is an unfinished version of Beta 1 to eliminate bugs in the scripts and do other optimizing and bugfixing necessary prior to release.

it a little sarcastic but in a joking sence not an ignorant ass sence. and it wasn't a statement...it was a real question... and i do still want to know what the teamsters think of the beta. i think its a valid question and i'm not breaking any rules
Lol don't have to be that defensive, but I rather not hear that they are having an incredible amount of fun with a great beta. It only makes the waiting more frustrating

With that said, I've decided to merge your two threads and unlock it again. However, don't get your hopes up for any teamster providing much information. They follow the same NDA as the devs, so they actually can't say much more than "Oh, I like the parts I've seen." (for example).
Morgoth, any news is good news (if it's not about a cancellation). If the teamsters says they like what they've seen, and that removing bugs are coming along nicely, then I for one will be happy. It's simple "marketing", if I can use such an expression. Hand out small amounts of news, screens of misc things we'll encounter in Middle Earth, concept art, and the devs will likely be recieving lots of praise for the work done. I am actually quite happy about the fact that I haven't encountered any landscape screens yet, since the final release is at least a 1/2 year away. It would give away too much at this time. But twice or thrice a week I pop by checking for news on the Beta, and I would be happy for whatever news I found.
When the see the finished version be sure that you look where you're going while in awe and amazement. You don't want to trip over a rock

thank you morgoth and i don't expect spoilers just more on the lines of weather they were blown away, it was alright, or it sucked, etc.
Me thinks the devses have given us some info.

If you were kidding im a dumba$$ but 'tis the language of backwards. Anyway its nice the beta is somewhat good.
I don't know where "good" lies on your list but on my list "good" means I like it a lot.

no no i never said i want you to say its awsome...i want you to be honest...i was just stating well if you think its good then its not great or awsome. but now its "very good" eh? well i know it wont SuXor if the models look anything like thoughs weapons. moving on then ...have you teamsters finished beta testing then? have you sent in all your comments to Daerk to work out the bugs?
PS...Daerk it would be giving to much away if you posted a screenshot of the world map..if the island fits on the worldmap...it doesn't even have to be uncover map either...just unexplored land. and that would shut up all the peeps asking for screens of the beta

Umm, theres not actually much I can tell you bar the location of the beta and timeframe of the mod. Most of the actual finished work I've seen has been shown here on the forums and theres sfa on the dev forums and devdb I could tell you about. Not to say that there isn't anything to tell you about, as Daerk often says most of the development is done in irc, which I havent been near in 4 months, and theres problems with people being able to upload stuff to the devdb on account of them being on 56k modems, holidays, busy with school, on different computers or not actually having anything to upload. That last one is a joke btw. Big one too.

If you want to discuss Iredior, please start a thread in the appropriate section, or visit our forums. Paying attention to every little detail, building interesting and varied quests - frequently with several possible outcomes -, writing personalized dialogue for NPCs to give them a bit of a personality, and integrating all the different factions into one coherent storyline takes time and cannot be hurried.
alright well moving on then...does the beta include insta kill scripts for cheaters? so in other words can i use console cheats while the beta is checked?

DMKW, don't plan on using cheat codes with this mod. Daerk has stated on numerous occassions that kill scripts are implemented.

yeah i know i'm just talking about the Beta1 here though not the Beta2 or final. ...you must have missed that part
Ah, cheats, I dont see the use in them. Sometimes they help you out of difficult situations, but otherwise..

jesu...last time i checked there were no NPC's or Quests in Beta 1...so there would be no reason to cheat right? i use cheats because i've played the hell out of morrowind (withought cheating) and over the past couple months i've been just messing around and testing mods to see which ones i want to add to my new game ..and i've been cheating to raise my stats high enough to do so...i lost my save game where i had a high level character...so when i test i boost stats....i mean most of the quests mods out there are made for level 20-30+ characters...and why would i spend the time to level up legitly only to find out the quest mod sucks anyway.... the reason i want to know if there is cheating killscripts in the beta 1 is because when it comes out i plan on starting a new game with the mods that made my list...and now that i know all these cheats i'm afraid i wont have the willpower to stop myself from using them...i'm mostly talking about teleport cheats here (fastest way to travel

true but having someone say "go to balmora's razor hole and get this ring" and i go (coc "balmora, razor hole") i'm there and i grab the ring adn i (coc) back...its just to easy to resist on those boring fedex quests

I'm with you DMKW, I get bored of the traveling part of some quests because they send me to the same locations. I've been playing morrowind for two year (I play very few times a week) and I don't have all the map visited becuase the quest always send me to balmora, vivec, ald r'hun and tel mora or sadrith mora XD
I use the coc to end this boring part P, now I downloaded a multimark mod that will help me with it and I'll stop using COC (i hope)

Seriously, I'm gonna have to download this for hours (stupid 56K). Waiting for the final release will be no problem compared to the download. (just so you guys know, I dload at about 7 megs per hour. Never complain when someone is worse off....)

Well, I've 56kbs as well and I download at about 10Mb per hour... and I'm in Spain (I'm saying this because telephone lines in Spain are a mess).
About the beta, and considering we teamsters haven't played the complete beta yet (it's not finished, remember?
