got a few problems with oblivion. after a few hours of browsing mod sites i came across some hair on borialis a jp site. the hair was called pretty cure or something like that... the readme was garbled heh. i have no idea how to install the hair. it seems to be just the nif files and some .kf pose files. any ideas?

my second problem is after hours of browsing i havent been able to find many accessory mods. things like glasses and stuff. i did find the dwemer glasses but those seem a little freaky lol. anywho thats it for now.

anyone know of any sites as good as nexus?

Normally, it is unwise to install mods that are in a different language than your game. People have reported that the result is language throughout your game being corrupted. That said, if what you found seems be missing files and/or contains files that seem as though they should not be there, it may not be a complete mod. Sometimes modders make things that they do not use, so they put them out as resources for other people to use in their own mods.

There are some accessory mods scattered around. I think most stuff like that is included as parts of much larger mods, like stores and merchants. Two of the biggest ones are Apachii Goddess Store http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=13437 and Lera and Pizz Hiyoko Store http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=15617 . The clothing in the Goddess Store is all intended for females, but there are lots of weapons and jewelry stuff. The Hiyoko Store has clothing for males and females, weapons and accessories (including sunglasses and goggles).

There are other mods that add merchants and mods that add more items to the games current merchants, so you're almost certain to find something you like.

It was probably garbled because you don't have things setup to read that language. Even if it wasn't, the readme probably wouldn't be understandable by someone who didn't know the language.

When it comes to foreign mods, you should keep two things in mind. There is no support for using them, and should you get them working, you cannot upload, or use their resources for anything other than your own personal use. That said, the only real thing you can use from foreign mods are things like meshes and textures, any .esp which came with the mod probably won't work, or atleast, the names of things won't be anything you'd want to use. If you don't know how to link and setup resources in the CS, and troubleshoot for missing textures, bad texture links, you probably shouldn't attempt this.

In some cases, asking a non-english speaking modder to make their work available for english speaking people can end badly. Some have actually stopped sharing mods because they were getting requests from english speaking people who sent messages either in english, or poorly translated by google. You would have better luck having someone (preferrably a trusted native speaker) put together a request to use their resources for another language version, with credit of models and textures being given to the original author.
