Okay, so there are a few mods that, for some reason, give me purple textures, even though the creator's screenshots do have said textures. I don't understand. I get the missing textures (and they are there in the zip/7z/rar file) whether I use OBMM or not. Does it have something to do with installing Oblivion in "C:\Program Files (x86)" and not "C:\Program Files"? Does it have something to do with the texture pathes not being "relative"? I'm not exactly sure what that means, except that when they are not relative, people who didn't install Oblivon in the default folder can't see the textures. Or meshes. Or whatever.
Please provide me with some insight and enlightenment!

Where you install the game makes no difference. Have you tried to install the mod manually, moving the files to the proper locations yourself? Sometimes this solves the problem.

You're missing the texture files. You probably didn't download the required other files.
If you go into the CS, you will see what texture file the item is calling for. If you really have the texture file from the download, the program is looking for it in the wrong place. You can either put the texture files in the right place or change the place the item is looking for it in the CS.

hey, thanks! I've tracked the topic, so I'll be sure to come back to it when I start playing Oblivion again (I'm off to Vvardenfell!).
