I've been trying in vain to find a how-to for creating a companion mod from a PC. I've seen a few mods of this type for download, but really want to create one (or more) of my own. Any help would be usefull, since I am EXTREMELY new to modding.

Making a companion mod is not a good place to learn modding. It involves quite a bit of scripting to get them to do what you want. A simple way would be to create an NPC, that is fairly simple and the instructions are in the Wiki. Then use one of the NPC recruitment mods to 'recruit' your NPC as a companion. All of the scripts are already done to get the companion to perform the essential activities of a companion.

Start with the basic instructions for the Construction Set (CS) here: http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index.php/Main_Page You will need at least a basic understanding of the CS to be able to make any mods.

Then for making an NPC, http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index...eation_Tutorial

Once you have the NPC you want made, Place them into the game and look At 'Companion Share and recruit' to make them a companion. http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3066

Once you feel you're ready, Cordwainer has a good tutorial here: http://teseyecandy.com/forum/index.php?topic=2860.0 (requires registration)

There's a tutorial that comes with the Cutthroat companion mod that Divine Avenger uses for his companions. I think DA includes the tutorial with his mods too.
