Daerk's town has been hit by a really bad ice storm and his area will be without power for the next 2-3 days. Just to give all of you the heads up.
*sigh* and we were going to release the beta tomarrow.. heh, j/k.

No need to worry. I'm sure D has plenty of peasants to throw on the fire to keep warm through the snows.
I'm sure the sizzling and screams will give him more ideas for the mod.......

, I can think of SO many Daerk-relatted word puns, but I won't say them. Oh, I can't resist it:
Here's what he's saying while stuck in his home (think Thief):
'Why do I have ter be down here n' the cold an' the Daerk an' the damp?'
or
'It's awfully Daerk here with no lights and no power...'
Sorry, couldn't help it

It wasn't that bad, really, it just took me about 10 posts to get it!
Anyway, I guess that's what you get for living in South Carolina...
Now there's plenty of time to work on Memod, that is if you have a generator in the backyard

Well I've got family living in Sault St Marie in Canada and in winter they are practically snowed in, they have there own little bulldozer to make paths in the snow, i've seen pictures of it it's awesome what nature can cause, to bad things like powerloss and accidents are some negative results of it .

Ice storms are annoying. Nature's fury can be pretty harsh at times.

Yeah, I hate ice storms too. I mean, when I'm in the Moesring Mountains, hunting snow wolves, and I get hit with one, I can't see a thing! I usually have to rest for like 24 hours! It's horrible!
Oooohh.... wait, real ones? Whoa. Now that's bad...

Hey, I was just kidding.

I meant that if you lived a little farther north, like me, you don't get huge icestorms, just a heck of a lot of snow.
btw, about the rebellion, who started the Civil War

To bad Daerk can't work on MEMod without power, but I have faith in it that it won't be long before it's released.
I live 2 miles away from a power plant, so there's plenty of power

Jan 28 2004, 06:26 PM
No it isn't, it works on coal, which is supplied by the river nearby. Luckily all the exhaust fumes are blown to the east by the wind, since I live in the west of it.
But were getting offtopic.

I hope Daerk has his power back soon and can work on MEmod again.

Do rivers supply coal in America?? Cool...
Myris
Jan 28 2004, 06:52 PM
Oops

......
I meant to say that coal is supplied by boat which travels over the river. And it's is not in America, it's in the Netherlands.

ROFL!
Yeah I took the time to burn a whole cord of seasoned fire wood... oak, at that.
Of course Laura was my companion in front of the fire, and some homemade hot chocolate and some marshmellows over the flames went quite well.
I have solar cells on the roof with battery backups in a power "closet", so I had power the entire time. However, all internet links were down.

Anyway, yes I'm back and working on the mod again.
Thanks for the concern ;D

Praise Him with GREAT PRAISE!
Sing now, ye people of the MW Forums,
for the Realm of Snowstorm is ended for ever,
and the Power Outage is thrown down!
Sing and rejoice, ye people of the ME Forums,
for your patience hath not been in vain,
and the Black CP Screen is now on,
and your Dev hath logged on,
and he is victorious.
Sing and be glad, all ye children of the Forums,
for your Dev shall log on again,
and he shall post amongst you
all the days you are logged on.
And the questions that were withered shall be renewed,
and he shall answer them with 'Wait and See',
and the Forums shall be blessed.
SING ALL YE PEOPLE!
