Well, I had this notion this morning and thought it would be kinda cool. The basic idea came from somebody posting how they don't like dead bodies going unnoticed by NPCs and that it broke their immersion.
I don't mind it too much myself but I thought that there could be a solution that might also be a cute way of recording your kills. So my answer to this would be that after any kill, (maybe excluding some creatures but maybe not) the body would disappear upon your PC leaving its cell and in a new, dedicated graveyard somewhere in Cyrodiil a headstone would appear. Not a new named mesh (if only there were people with that much time) but versions of the Perennia Draconis 'readable' stone which could even occasionally sprout a ghost. It would still be a lot of work but manageable I think.
I realise this could create hundreds of them if not thousands with all creatures included but for generic creatures or bandits etc..(if we take trolls as an example) a single troll stone would display a count, whereas named NPCs could have their own personal stone or tomb, whatever suited them best. It would take a bit of thought for scale and some good scripting but I think it could be done. Maybe someone knows better though. It would be a nice place to visit after a long day's carnage, more fun for seeing what your death tally is than just hitting F1 and scrolling and it would give the impression that the corpses you make don't just rot away where they fall. I also like the idea of a 'physical' named record of some of your prestigious victories like there was with the soul gems in Morrowind.
Anyway, just a thought. Albeit a morbid one.

Yes it is a bit morbid but still a good idea.
I would make sure the bodies didn't disappear too soon like before you could loot them. I think 4 (in-game) hours should be enough time.

Yeah, good point, the looted or not looted status of the body probably should determine how quickly it disappears. Or even ideally as a further idea have the corpse's inventory transfer to the gravestone if was made a container too. Then you could grave rob at your lesiure.

it would also make clear all the bodys up in oblvion in morrowind u could get rid of the body =)
i think the best place for it would be the Green Empeoear Way if your kills overfill the other Chapals in the other towns = )

I think a new worldspace would be the best place for the graveyard. With an entrance portal somewhere that allowed you to enter located in an out of the way location. Plus it would be nice if you could somehow include the graves of named NPC from mods. Maybe you would have a group of unnamed stones that you could name as needed. You could have some random ghosts, Skeletons and zombies there that you would have to fight any time you wanted to enter. How about a crypt keeper caretaker?

And the Crypt keeper could be a new hunchbacked NPC, Dante! Does anyone get that?
...
Where was I? Oh yeah; I would make only named NPCs from towns and camps appear here. No one cares about the Daedroth you beat down yesterday, or the random bandits you cleared out to make your new lair. It should only be named NPCs. Maybe that way (I know nothing of scripting, don't annoy me about it) you could make a script that would include the character's name and your name in the epitaph? You know, something that, when activated, would read: "Here lies [the character's name], killed (or some variation) by [your name]" I suppose you could also add into the scripted epitaph the date on which you killed them. If you are going to have your own private graveyard, you're going to have to personalize it.

I'm all for Dante as long as I don't have to pay him 10 gold to dig up an effing grave.

AGREED! Unless it's some awesome sword or more gold...Or maybe a heart container. What, wrong game you say?
Hey Glue, if you know what we're talking about, it would be a great addition. Either way, a wierd new NPC would provide character to an otherwise totally morbid place.

yes, there would have to be some way to tone it down because my character I just made a few weeks back, has 382 human kills, and like 400-something creature kills

well in 28 days and abit mod you can go to the void and see the killed people, maybe you could go to the void in you suggestion and have aload of funny people like that tramp in curcible that you can only speak to when you have the fork for big head

that sounds like a great idea, actually. I will definitely download.
I have another morbid idea: Take the heads or scalps of your kills.

@triforce1-Yeah right, the Zelda Dante; well I like the idea of a creepy grave digger/keeper.
@RyuaNesha- As far as the scale goes like I said you could have one single stone for each generic race/creature with a sliding count which wouldn't take up too much space but that was only for keeping the concept like a 3D stat list for kills. I guess it could be better to just include named NPCs and humanoid (including playable beast races) because they are the ones who would actually be given burials.
@bben46- As far as anothar world space goes, sure, I can see the point of that too. How about underground crypts and catacombs? Or even a celestial plane maybe although I do think it'd be better kept dark and creepy.
@lolassassin101- really? I haven't played that mod. Sounds interesting.
@aenewulfdf137- ..or spines like in Predator. mmwhahaha!
