@Admin: sorry if its in the wrong topic as I can't seem to find the right place for this sort of question

Hi all,
I've seen the update statue mod, but would anyone know how to create a static statue of the player's character in a pose and place it into oblivion?
I've tried contacting the author of the update statue mod but his/she? inbox is full.
A small step by step will do nicely.

Thanks.

The statue is technically an NPC which plays a specific idle. If you wanted it to use a different idle, you would just need to change what .kf is being linked to in that instance. Actors in charge might be able to do this temporarily, but without any time spent in the CS. Otherwise you would need to extract the .kf you wanted to use, find the listing for the player statue (under gameplay > idle animations), and change the linked file.

Thanks for the reply Vagrant0, will try messing around with the CS and post the results on Tesnexus.

Okay I've tried messing around with the CS, you've given me the right idea that I wanted to use the Actors in charge etc. All I need is the .kf file, but I've found the player statue script and also the statue's base as an activator in the CS that is linked to the players statue script.

Update my statue script has some improved functionality, but I can't see how it changes the pose as there's no direct link to the kf file itself in the script. The activator I think has a statuepose.kf file, I could replace that manually, but I would like the customisation of the script in there but without triggers for completing the game.
I just want to make a copy of the statue and edit the script but I can't understand high-level coding used in the statue's script. Anyone out there that can give me some pointers on what to remove and how to copy the statue and place it anywhere I want in the game?

I keep at it again tonight.

Quartz made a player statue for use in his Glenvar Castle mod. You could check out how he did it. It doesn't appear until late in his second quest. Be sure to ask his permission if you use any of his code.

Here is the mod: http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=8235
