I followed the great tutorial from the TES Construction Site: Simple Companion Tutorial. It was a lot of fun, but too easy. I knew there had to be a catch.

Whatever city I place my companion, when my PC enters that city; that is when my game kicks me out.
I know it's my mod, because when I disable it in data files everything is hunky-dory. I'm usually good at problem solving these kind of things, but I guess I'm over my head on this one. I need the experts. Any ideas to why this is happening?

I have not created any companion mods and this particular scenario does not sound familiar (such as being to suggest looking at anything).

I can only suggest looking at it from an object-level. If your mod includes custom NIF and DDS files, try replacing them with stock vanilla versions just to prove they are not "messing with anything"

If you mod is just a single plugin, use TES4View and see if it has any conflicts with currently installed mods.
