Yes, of course, and is closely related to doing the quest.
I like it, since being really so troublesome the player is strongly constrained in doing the quest.

There is something I find instructive in KotN. This curse is so. You was advised of it, the priest there said you the 'cure' for the knight descendant was taking it upon yourself. Something he hadn't the courage to do, as it is a curse that is not only upon you, but your own offspring would be affected by it. It is a choice with serious consequences, and yet is a choice one need to do willingly. Very like the choices we do in the real life, and like these there is a price that must be paid.

Either at the part where you get all the crusader's relics, or when you defeat Umaril, the curse just poofs away.

Neither, actually.

While the curse CAN and IS removed from you, there ARE a few ways around it.

For instance: There are several Fortify Fatigue enchanted Items, but my favourite comes from a user-made mod (PC only): Supreme Magicka. One of the ESPs for it allows you to enchant an item with Restore Health and Restore Fatigue.

ANd the Curse is removed when you get the Blessing from the Prophet.
