A 13 year old German school kid doing a science project for school, corrects NASA about an asteroid that has a slim chance of hitting earth.

NASA said 1 in 45,000 but a 13 year old said 1 in 450.

thats not good news, those are actually fairly good chances of it hitting us..
****...
1 in 450 chance of it hitting *something* and destroying the earth?
time to party like twas 1985!

Yeah, well the Aztecs and several other ancient civilizations pin the end happening in December 2012... So I don't think NASA has anything to worry about.

I just read that the german boy has been proven wrong .. but just in case he's right I'm making arrangements to be on the opposite side of the planet when the asteroid hits.

*grin*

Considering it's an Earth shattering asteroid, where you are on Earth won't matter, and yes, that stupid German kid's a moron. There's a 1 in 45,000 chance of it hitting us, just like NASA said. Really, anyone who believes that a 13 year old outsmarted NASA is, him/herself, stupid.
Marcus Wolfe
What? German kid outsmarts NASA?

(spends several hours laughing nonstop)

Oh please. Even if an asteroid comes close to earth, I'm sure that idiot you Americans call a president (What was his name, George Bush?) will do the smart thing for once and send an ICBM to blow it to pieces.

21st, December 2012 to be exact. Just thought I'd heighten your sense of urgency and doom. whistling.gif
And I believe it's just the Aztec calendar that stops then.
