The old poll that asked "Are your Morrowind/Oblivion characters the same gender as you?" is now finished. Here are the results:

• Yes - 7127 votes - 49%
• No - 2738 votes - 19%
• I have more than one character, some are different genders - 4099 votes - 28%
• My character has no gender! - 532 votes - 4%

The new site poll is now up and asked "What is your favourite game genre?". I'm expecting an RPG runaway with FPS coming a second.

I'm having the same voting issue again... When I click on my choice, a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark appears at the bottom of my browser saying 'error on the page' (translated from Dutch), and nothing happens.

The char's gender is sometimes determined by its owner's personality...I myself have a m-elf girl in oblivion,and worked my azz out creating her face

I prefer to play as a girl,it's alot nicer to look at the back ( booty) of a girl then to stare at a guys ass for hours hehe :-P

Well, every time I create a male character, I get board with him before he reaches lvl 10.
If you're going to spend a lot of time working on a character, they should be nice to look at (especially from behind), and guys just aren't. You can make em look cool, but that takes work. But girls have it all built in, heh.
Oh and there's also a better hair selection for female characters.

Anyway, when it comes to the face, I always spend a lot of time on it, and frequently go back to it over and over again, tweaking it here and there, until I'm convinced that there's no other way I can possibly make it look any better... And then a week later I change it again.
Needless to say, I've gotten pretty good with the face editor from the frequent use, but that's beside the point.

to be honest, im a bit shallow (probably not the right word...), instead of creating a character then molding the world around him/her i mold my character around the world, for instance, when the Frostcrag Reborn mod was installed on my pc i started an entire new game for that 1 scenario, although, i would say that im not the only one.

My first characters are always the same gender/race(HUMAN). After 3rd or 4th time around the replay value relies on some gender bending. Right?!
