I have played many games of Oblivion and every time something strange happens. OK I am in memorial cave in the second large room instead of making a right turn to take me to Seridur's room and after killing several vampire's I am thinking of my next move and remember that I should have taken that right turn after the first big room when it happens. A message pops up and says I have killed Seridur. I think "hey wait a gosh darn minute here I haven't even come near the guy."
I fight my way into where I know he should be and sure enough he is dead on the floor.......I just love this game :-)

Yes, if he encounters any other vampire they wil attack him. I'm sure it must be very rarely that it actually happens though.

Oddly enough, while Seridur is supposed to be a vampire, he is not by game mechanics (even his eyes and face are normal) and it seems he is not in their faction as well. So, they have no reason to spare him.

Well if you dont want to be denied your fight just resurrect him and then kill him, its what i would do lol

Uh .... lets not get hasty here...who am I to look a gift horse in the face :-)... It just always seemed to much trouble because all the vampires you have to kill to get to him and he goes down like a rock in a river. It was just odd standing int his room just one room away from the entrance and having this sign pop up and said I had killed him LOL. I only fought my way in there to get experience and see if he was really dead...he was. I did n ot know the info about him that the other poster replied about not being one of them or in there fraction.
