Do i need a mod manager because i still cant install mods by actually extracting from ZIP folders and then pasting it into the DATA file for Oblivion...and i feel so stupid for not be to do this. T-T

No you don't. I've installed many a mod without it. In fact, the only reason I have the mod manager is to check for conflicts. It's actually better if you don't use it, because the mod manager will overwrite anything, which could be very bad. If it overwrites the wrong think, it could mess up your game leaving you searching for hours to try and find what's wrong.

Anyways, welcome. If you learn how to do things right, you can avoid the deadly fanboyism surrounding things like the mod manager, and especially OBSE.

No. Oblivion Mod Manager is one of the most recommended. OBSE launcher is another. And I suppose if the Oblivion launcher can do the trick. But no, it did not write over anything as I installed it. Only thing you need to get it running is the Net Framework 2.0. OBSE Launcher can be useful when installing mods and running them with OBSE. The Oblivion launcher, I have no idea. I never tried it before. Anyways, that said.

You do NOT need the oblivion mod manager to install mods. It is totally unnecassary, I managed for months without it. You simply make sure the .esp files are in \Oblivion\Data, meshes, textures, etc are in the right folder, and then you open the oblivion launcher, click data files, and make sure all the mods you want to use are checked.

There is a great guide on installing them round here somewhere... i think its in general mod talk. Check it out.

And I was going to get you a fishystick, but it took so long explaining that you dont need obmm that i dont have time now. Sorry.

You do not need the OBMM, but it can help. I'm not saying it will help. It might help. OBSE can be used, and the Oblivion launcher.

I find using it more of a hassle than just installing the mods themselves, and the only reason I have OBSE is for Deadly Reflex. OBMM is not needed in the least for anything, and OBSE is only needed for a few mods. Neither of them are high ticket items.
