"Stolen file" option added to file reports
The option "Stolen file (uploaded without permission)" has been added to the file report form for reporting files that have been uploaded without the author's permission.

This looks like it can be a useful tool, but do you mean by if anyone who downloaded someone else's file and re-upload it claiming it's there? It can be useful to stop a thief.
As for me, I may use other people's mods onto mine, but I still give them credit. I wouldn't ever upload my mods with other mods in it without crediting the authors or without asking permission.

Too bad there are still people who dont even bother reading the author. I can think of a few times Ive seen someone get kudos for someone elses work. The uploaders did cridet the authors, but people still gave them all the credit.

As long as you ask permission, or the readme says its okay and that you don't need to ask for permission, and you make clear that the mod isn't yours, you can upload the mod if it isn't on TesNexus already.
Should the readme say nothing it's best to ask for permission anyway, and if the author really can't be contacted I you can still upload the file, but once again making it clear that you aren't the author.
