Dark0ne
Logged on to the server this evening to find it sending large amounts of spam. Clearly something on the server has been compromised and, as a result, the sheer amount of emails being sent out has caused the site to become unresponsive at times. I'm on the case and will update shortly.

As an FYI SPAM was directed at general addresses, not addresses logged in the forum database. Probably, once again, a Chinese or Russian spammer.

Sure, I finally get high speed today and they go and do this again.

Serves me right ! ! ! LOL

Thought things were slower than usual.

So that's why the site was unavailable just a couple hours ago - kinda thought something was fishy when the site looked to be down dry.gif

I think one of the consequences of this is the Updates Recently page not showing yesterday's files (it's stuck at 19 February).

So that might be why I've been getting sporadic IPS driver errors (very) occasionally the last few days or so? I thought it was just due to high traffic on the site.

Spammers, eh? Don't we all love them? dry.gif

Good on ya, Dark0ne, for being on top of the situation. thumbsup.gif

Well, its great you've found the problem, and it's clearly been stopped now, hopefully this wont happen again. smile.gif
