I was exploring and going to try to get to the top of the red mountaind, at the near base of the mountain, to my surprise, was a giant blue forcefield that would not let me pass, i followed it about halfway about the mountain and still no opening. have any of u ever had this experience, is there some way to get rid of it?

Haha, its the ghost gate. Head East from Balmora and play around on those trails through the mountains and you'll find the entrance. Or, you could just levitate over it.

The faithful to the Temple contributed their bones to the production of Ghostfence. This was considered a great deed of generosity to do- donate your earthly remains to the Ghostfence. In a Temple quest, the PC donates an empty soul gem. The citadel Ghostgate is the only entrance to Red Mountain, and is guarded by a special battalion of holy warriors, Bouyant Armigers.

They protects morrowind from the evil spawns from dagoth in the dusts of red mountain. And if they should fail the whole morrowind will be lost. As the temple say.

THAT my friend is the wall that keeps Dagoth Ur from sweeping across Vvardenfell and killing... well... everyone:blink:! To get in just move along the wall until you find the opening or use the a scroll of Icarian Flight ( if you got it) the other solution is the levitation spell.

Now why didn't you just use the good old "edit" button...
It's for rewriting/editing your post if you forgot something or you want to add something shortly after that you have posted!

kadude, I know you mean to be helpful but Dark0ne posted a thread about forum vigilantes. Leave it to admin or the moderators next time or report it to make sure we don't overlook it. Strictly speaking we have been instructed to treat vigilante posts as spam but I will let this one go as you may have missed that piece of information. Can everyone else please take note too.

I have always pondered how much trouble Vvardenfell would be in if Dagoth Ur worked out a levitation spell or how to press the large 'open' button on the Ghostgate tunnel!
it takes someone with cunning and great scill to learn levitate and to learn the very hard skill of hand eye button pushing coordination

Um...ok. It doesn't take skill to learn, it takes money to learn- anyone with enough cash can but the spell from a Telvanni or Temple Alteration mage. The struggle is actually casting the spell. Most of those Levitation spells are pretty heavy on the magicka usage, ang require an able spellcaster.

Ghost Fence is the force field and to get to GhostGate you go directly east from fort buckmoth (near ald Ruhn). Also note that ghost gate is the southern-most part of Ghost fence. hope i cleared that up for you
Oh and if you dont have a map then look for one online and it should show you, I was gonna scan mine but I would have to unpin it from the wall and yah...

cmac - it's a good idea to read the thread before responding to a post. Curt Sibling was making a humourous aside and All was following it up. Occasionally we all have thes burts of wit (or insanity). You don't need to reply to them as though they were serious!
And I think it is now going a little too far off topic so...
