As a loyal player of morrowind, I have encountered many things that just arn't normal. But how many times have you been that thing that just isn't normal? I created this thread mainly because sometimes you just like to brag. Brag all you like here.

To kick it of, I'll say that at level 17, my character somehow managed to destroy the level 45 lich, Barilzar, and he did it completely blind---in less than 10 seconds---without taking damage!
Top that if you can!
Abramul
The first time around, I took out Barilzar without doing the prerequisite quests. Apparently, they didn't expect people to get past the rocks using a high-power Jump spell.

And there's this:
QUOTE(Abramul @ Jun 5 2005, 01:29 PM) *
How can I get past the two Dwemer Landmines that're right next to each other? It wouldn't be a problem if there was only one...

I've tried sneaking, inviso, and levitation, but none work.

I've done it before, but my Lvl. 12 Argonian can't seem to manage.

EDIT: Got past them, they both tried to poison me. Is there another way?

Yay for poison immunity!
NewtC
Okay, how about this: my Breton managed to enchant an equisite ring with a constant effect 20 point jump spell. Then he enchanted another one sucessfully, jumped, and promptly killed himself.

Beat that.

Oh, and also, the odd moments can't include cheats.

Just sayin'

I once found a mudcrab in Red Mountain.

Yeah, you told us over at the Synod. That's pretty funny.

The oddest moment I had was just today. I was playing around with the Scrolls if Icarian Flight (that guy falling out of the sky never grows old wink.gif) and I guess I got lucky, because I landed on the side of a hill, unharmed. Despite this, there were cliff racers all around, and I was hard pressed to enjoy my lucky escape from the grasp of death.

I was once surrounded by more than 40 cliff racers at once! If only I had taken a screenshot. I flew all the way over red mountain, and across the continent to get the mighty pack. Then I got bored of them, and cliff racers became my dinner! Honestly, this really happened. The followed me every were and I kept blocking their attacks. I called the whole bunch the Bob.

Keep telling odd stories! And remember, here is were you are allowed to boast.
NewtC
What, no one has anything to beat that? Oh come on, I was hoping to here of amazing battles or oddities! I'm getting bored here.

I'm sorry if it sound snobbish, it's hard not to when typing.
Abramul
Amazing battles? Well, I killed Dagoth Ur. By hitting him.
NewtC
Now, thats more like it! I can't top that, considering he didn't die when he landed in lava for 2 minutes. But I can keep this train of thought going by asking

WHAT THE "bleep" WHERE YOU USING? I WANT THAT WEAPON!!!!!!

Sorry about that.
Abramul
Daedric Battle Axe, which I think I enchanted with Drain Health enchantment. The key was all the Fortify Strength potions I used, and the Fortify Intelligence potions I used to make them. It appears that Dagoth Ur's script resets his health to 1000 if he's damaged, so you need to do 1000 damage in one hit.
NewtC
Cool. While we're on the subject of self-made super weapons, I would like to mention that my current blade, named Fang, has an extremely powerful absorb health enchantment on it. When the enchantment hits its high end, it can do up to 132 damage a hit.

Any one else got any self-made super weapons out there?

A silver dagger with a drain speechcraft on strike enchantment. smile.gif

The only thing that could beat that would be a restore health on strike weapon.

laugh.gif

I made a Daedric Dai-Katana that did 87 points of fire damage on strike.
My dad made a weapon; I don't remember the enchantment, but it was on a Daedric Claymore that he renamed to Daedric Slaymore! biggrin.gif
Abramul
Not exactly powerful, but certainly odd...the Spear of Falling Feathers. A Daedric spear with a CE Slowfall enchantment, rendering one who wields it immune to falling damage.

There's always Almalexia's Hammer, a Daedic Warhammer with as powerful a Shock enchantment as it can take, powered by the soul of a god.

And the Ward of Abernanit. Not a weapon, but a Daedric Tower Shield with a CE 45-point Fortify Block enchantment. Given that successfully blocking prevents a melee attack from doing any damage, this should significantly increase combat effectiveness.

Although I've always though that Death Blow of Abernanit is mistitled, as Abernanit is a Bitter Coast smuggler hole, while Ebernanit is a Dagon shrine, which better fits the book.
ninja_lord666
I made this one item I forgot to mention, not a weapon, but still a great enchantment: an exquisite ring with constant effect restore fatigue 24 points. Suffice to say, I always have max fatigue, always. biggrin.gif I also made a paired ring along with it: another exquisite ring with constant effect restore health 4 points. It's not as good as the first one, but it's still unmeasurably helpful.
NewtC
Any thing is okay, it doesn't even have to be enchanted; just ultra rare or odd or custom made. This is a thread about odd things after all.

The oddest thing I have ever made was a sword that unlocked nearby doors when it hit. I called it Escape. Great idea, with the spear. I also made a ring like the one ninja lord mention, except I only managed a 2 point enchantment. I also made a sheild called the Sheild of the invincible. It was going to be the shield of the unbreakable oath, but that wouldn't fit. It summoned a bound curiass, gauntlets, and shield for 180 seconds.

My favorite of all times was this little trio: first, the ring of the bird, which had a CE 4 point levitate, the Marksmans Friend, also with a CE bound longbow and full daedric armor, and could be worn as an amulet. Last but not least was a constant effect slowfall ring with a magnitued of 1. It made sure I never took damage while falling.

Beat those! biggrin.gif

And also thanks.gif for you stories of prowess.

The Jesus Ring: constant effect water walking.

Well i dont play morrowwind any more but i once encountered a mudcrab in the mountains.

And my morrowind got really glitchy so i some how managed to equip a steel shield as a weapon, mutating the arm and hand meshes, and i found a talking mudcrab. he talksh like thish. and hes a merchant. On top of that i managed to enchant daedric gauntlets with fortify hand to hand 10 on self and a dagger that restored 8 health...on target. i would strike them and they would gain health

BEAT THAT!!!!!!
ninja_lord666
The Talking Mudcrab Merchant? He's not so unusual; even M'Aiq knows about him...
However, the shield as a weapon thing...That's not right. You don't happen to have a screen shot of that do you? biggrin.gif
NewtC
Yeah, everyones met the mudcrab merchant. But I agree, the shield as a weapon is odd.

And in response to your challenge, I will beat that.

Ever had an amulet that could potentially deal up to 260 damage - at a DISTANCE? I enchanted that myself. And can someone please tell me where to find that mudcrab?
ninja_lord666
An Island east of Mzahnch; careful, though, he's indistinguishable from normal mudcrabs. You don't want to kill him, right? Also, he only buys weapons, armour, and potions.
cazaam
I mustv accidently changed the sheild into a weapon or something like that. i messed around on the cs.
Oh yea and you no that crazy falling guy? yea well if you manage to talk to him,(which i did) (BEAT THAT!!) all he says is
"i don't want to talk about it" and you have to goodbye the bastard.

It says in the official guide that the player can cast slowfall on him and save him. That means that a lot of people probably tried it and probably succeeded.
NewtC
Actually, I meant the mudcrab at red mountain.
freddycashmercury
Most of us are convinced it was either A: A glitch in the game, or B: Ninja imagined the whole thing. tongue.gif No, really, I think it was an accident, and Ninja will probably say the same.
ninja_lord666
I have no idea. It was probably an ill-placed random monster spawn.

I've found an Ash Slave walking around the sea bottom near the mouth of the Odai River.
NewtC
I ended up seeing one of the people in balmora fall into the river once. I went into a building, and when I came back out, he was on land, but still doing the floating animation. It was really odd.
NewtC
Any one else got any odd times or epic accomplishments?
cazaam
Sometimes when i went to balmora, there would be a guy in the water. Not that weird. He had no pants. Oh. and you could start a quest to retrieve his pants. I hardly ever see this guy which is weird. can anyone tell me what the hell thats about.

(oh yea and, BEAT THAT!!

That guy is supposed to be in the river south of Gnisis.

That's where I found him...and got his pants back for him...If he's in Balmora, something is wrong. That's not an oddity; that's a bug.
NewtC
Cazaam:
Actually, this is Balmora. I'm trying to say that the games NPC's fell into the river. It wasn't supossed to happen. It was a glitch in the games pathing. Some NPC's missed the bridge and fell in. These include: A Hlaalu Guard, Raryn Radyrys, and some other guys I can't remember.

I once made a crossbow that fired 50 daedric dai-katanas in 5 secs.

before i found a steam centurian in the palace of vivec fighting vivec. I killed the steam centurian and then spoke to vivec but he just said what he usually says "go away". BEAT THAT
