Late last night the 500,000th official member registered on TESNexus. This marks a great milestone in the site's history. The 250,000 member milestone was reached on October 13, 2006 and the 100,000 member milestone was reached on the 30th of March 2006.

As I've said before, whether you enjoyed Oblivion or miss the Morrowind hay-days, you cannot deny that the Elder Scrolls community is unparalleled. On average there are 500 people registering on this site every day with traffic on the increase, rather than on the decrease. It's brilliant to see.

The next milestone shall be at 750,000 members rather than one million.

That's alot. About 5-6 percent of whole Sweden's population.

Happy to hear that and thanks to all the modders that come up with all those great mods out there and keeping things interesting after all this time.

Those figures are quite far off

Just out of curiosity... who was the 500,000th person? Maybe they should get a prize. I know it's not me, but still it might be great for bragging rights if they had a 500k Action Figure (I love the action figure store mod... go figure) to add to their Oblivion home. Just a crazy thought.

It would be hilarious if the population of tes nexus over grew the population of the official elder scrolls forum. Talk about irony if such a event occurred.

I do not believe I have ever even been to the official forum. I found this site in a Google search, it was so long ago that I do not remember what I was searching for, but that does raise two other possibilities:

1) Nexus ranks higher in Google than the official forums

and/or

2) Nexus had/has better information/people so it was chosen over the official forum.

Either way, I am happy here and will stay as long as I am welcome.

2006 was a great year for tessource, do to the fact that registering was free and didn't have to be a premium user to talk in the forums, man those where the days. Thats probably why tessource grew so fast in that year alone, still 750,000 members is a great brake through. Tessource i mean Tesnexus is still a great site and still use it all the time for mods, so keep it up Dark One.
