With only four more days until Christmas it's about time I wish everyone the very best for the Christmas season. While not a Christian myself I believe Christmas is what you make of it; for some it is a religious festival and for others it is a cherised time to spend with loved ones.

Christmas is also a time for tradition and I'm sure many of you have traditions of your own. When I first moved down to Torquay with my family when I was five my mother needed to get my sister, my brother and I out of the house so she could wrap the presents without getting caught. My father would take us all to Dawlish, a nearby town, to go to the arcades and spend a fiver on the 2p slot machines. Afterwards we would have a meal in a nearby cafe. Last year was the first year we did not keep up this tradition of going to Dawlish because, only days previously, a close family friend passed away. This year I was happy when my brother (now in London working as a business manager at Heinz central HQ) asked if we were going this year. So no doubt my brother, father and I will be going to dawlish again this year on Christmas eve to waste away a fiver on the slots. Unfortunately my sister is currently teaching in Shang Hai (China) and won't be back for Christmas.

Make sure you all spend some time with your family and friends this Christmas season inbetween all the latest releases. I know I'm having trouble leaving my room after recently installing Team Fortress 2, Crysis and Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance.

I echo the Christmas sentiments. My mother died earlier this year so it will be the first Christmas I can remember without her being there. (I have been away for Christmas before but that's not the same.) My sister and I will do the usual family thing and drink a glass of pink champagne - a tradition she introduced - in her memory.

And to end with my usual seasonal greeting - I hope you all get what you deserve!

For me Christmas and New Years bring back fond memories. The season has a different meaning for me now that my understanding of this world is changing. I have no living relatives. But, my family are closest to me at this time of year so I too will drink In remembrance, with solemnity and some tears.

I hope, no I wish/evoke that all of the members of The Elder Scrolls Community are well and safe and that this years holiday season brings you each what you need most, according to the truth and the path you have chosen.
