There is a way one can find out what version of a prgram you have installed on your machine; obvioulsy particularly useful for games.
Could someone please remind me how you locate that file, I think it was via "Run".

First, find the executable. If you have a shortcut to it, right-click the shortcut, select Properties, and click "Find Target". If you don't have a shortcut, you probably already know where it is.
Now, right-click the executable, and select Properties. If there's a Version tab, that's what you're looking for. If not, someone else might know where else to look.

sometimes can be found in the "readme" and on some games the version number is down in the bottom corner of the screen on the title screen

What program is it? Its different depending on what it is.

I'm obviously not explaining myself clearly, sorry.
It is a folder that lists all the games one has on your PC showing each respective version.
