Sorry if this had to go into spoilers, but I wasn't sure. My problem is that whenever I kill Dandras Vules (the Dark Brotherhood guy you have to kill in 'Hunt the Dark Brotherhood'), the game crashes. It's at the very instant he dies; I hear him grunt in pain and then, bam, the game exits and I get the Windows notice about sending an error report.

I have the game of the year edition of the game and have both expansions installed, but only Tribunal is active. I have three of the official plugins (Master Index, Entertainers and Bitter Coast Sounds) all active and no other mods or plugins. The game's version is 1.6-something. Can someone please help me with this; I think it's driving me insane.

I'd try a forum search on the character name. I have seen a glitch referred to with regard to looping, not crashing. Nevertheless they may be connected.

If this doesn't work you can advance the quest using the console. Check out uesp website for console commands and how to use them.

Also this quest line is optional I believe. If you talk to Fedris Hler in the Temple and begin his quest, the DB approach can be skipped IIRC.

Just did a quick search of the forums here and a quick look at the item list on UESP and I think I'll just use the codes to skip this. I hope that this is only happening with this save file and won't happen again.

whats with these plugins guy's soz for asking stupid q's but i dont cheat and want to look into these things like the master index i mean i got all ten indexs legit and i wanna know how or what the plugins are help
