There is a problem with my IP Address. The first 5-10 times i try to hook up to my linksys wireless network, it shows i have no Ip address. But then it says i have one and every thing is fine. Can someone tell me how to fix yhis so idont have to sit waiting for a connection for 10 minutes(i am very unpatient) laugh.gif

How far away are you from the access point? It might be because your to far. Or you just have a weak connection.

Sounds like poor reception. Might want to evaluate how things are setup, decrease the range, or try to position it where the path is less likely to have interferance. It could also be a weak reciever, check what range it's supposed to have, read the manual, and if things don't feel kosher, try exchanging it for a new one.

On a side note, you might also want to take some time to limit access to your network if you live in a reasonably dense area or an apartment building. It'll keep your neighbors from hopping into your netweok (or atleast complaining about it taking 10 minutes to hop onto your network).

Well, now my reception has been alot better since i went and unpluged my whole houses internet, then plugged in again and reinstalled the software.

Ill see how it goes
